Let's see director, what should have been done differently?
Reveal Ra's daughter before this scene so that we still have a villain driving the truck.

Have the Batman/Bane fight go the same... but the way we see him begin to lose it and go ape once his mask gets damaged lasts long enough for Batman and Catwoman to have to work together for a final setup to where she blasts him with the missil. Have Bane say something pertaining to the bomb's eminent explosion and .... Builds relationship between Selena and Bruce for the kiss and end to have more weight.

that's the best I got. I'm not a professional writer. Just a critic like everyone else... which is easy. I'm being picky. The movie was great.

Godfather, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars... not better than any of those by a long shot
I haven't seen any of the LOTR.

I agree it isn't better than Star Wars, but I don't think it's by a long shot. And I don't think it is definitively better. Godfather III was so bad that the trilogy as a whole suffers. Godfather II is my favorite movie of all time though. It should've ended with that one.

Godfather II is a great movie, I loved it even as a young kid more than part 1. I think Godfather III could have been special if Duvall would have been in it, they had a much better story if he returned.

I prefer Star Wars over any LOTR, except Fellowship, that one is perfect. I even like the prequels better than LOTR. LOTR is impressive for a variety of reasons, but the pacing kills me in those movies. So many scenes of slo motion and hobbits crying. the SW prequels are very flawed but I feel work better as a cinematic experience and have better pacing than LOTR, just my opinion of course.

and finally saw TDKR last night in glorious IMAX. loved the movie. it's either my second favorite or overall favorite. I need to see it again and give it more time, but I enjoyed the out of it.

Agree with both but I agree more with your second idea. Bane deserved the same humiliation he imparted onto batman. I would have loved to see batman monstrously and successfully rip off Bane's facial piece in anger.

LOTR was okay, but ultimately i'm not a fan because each movie was around 3 hours long, but they each felt about 6 hours long, and the entire time i'm watching them i feel like i could be watching them on the fast forward setting and still not miss much.

I liked LOTR, but never claimed it to be some life-altering spiritual experience like fanboys do for certain trilogies.
Part 1 blew though, part 2 and 3 made up for it

Exceeded my expectations.. both as a fan of the comicbooks and Nolan's interpretation of the Batman universe.

What are the predictions for weekend number 2 for TDKR? 70 to 90 million dollars?

I would say more than that. Look at the daily numbers this week so far. It made 50 million on Monday-Wednesday. The numbers aren't released for Thursday yet, but it proably did another 15 million. Once the weekend hits, it will probably do 20 million per night.

edit* I just noticed you said "weekend" number 2. I was assuming you meant the gross for the entire 2nd week.

It was the weakest movie in the trilogy, though not by much. There were some obvious eye rolling moments, like the Robin reveal. It had some plot holes, much like each movie before it. My main complaint though was that it focused too much on that didn't matter. It's not called Mathew Modine Rises, . More scenes of Bruce Wayne being Batman and less filler.

Battle scenes in "The Two Towers" and "Return of the King" were more memorable than anything in Nolan's Batman films.

Ask someone on the street what "Batman Begins" was about. Who was the villain, how did he die/not-die etc.

Likewise, ask someone how Batman defeated the Joker and/or Two-face in "The Dark Knight". They wont have a ing clue.

I think Modine's roll did matter. It set the tone that some people were still bitter over Batman "killing" Harvey Dent and many others (which obviously was a lie), and were so re ed that they would focus on capturing him, instead of Bane and his crew.

It also made Batman's "sacrifice" more powerful, that he would be willing to die for people who have hated and hunted him, to save their lives.

If you don't like how that went, that's entirely up to you. But I don't think it was " that didn't matter" by any means.

What a stupid point. Do you honestly expect a member of the general public to be able to explain how The Two Towers ended or how Return of The King ended?

3 suffered some from ending the two towers at helm's deep, and giving the spider time in the third movie. The scouring of the shire would have added another hour to that long ass movie.

Um..YES. Ive seen it ONCE and I remember. They defeated the orc army using the green ghosts that Vigo Mor-whatever summoned. Then Frodo pushed Gollem into the lava to destroy the ring.

    The End.

Im part of the general public and Im not a huge LOTR fan.

So yes, I would completely expect anyone who has SEEN "Return of the King" to know how it ended.

For the life of me, I cant remember how "Batman Begins" ended. The only way I know that the scarecrow lived is because he had a cameo in the second one. I have no idea if Liam Neeson died or not. Dont remember.

So? You are not everybody. Just because you don't remember something doesn't mean anything. You have no point.
