I really don't know what ya'll expected from de Colo. He's not used to the style of ball played in the NBA yet and he's being thrown at the wolves against Team USA. I'm sure his playmaking abilities look 100X better when he's not playing against all star teams.

Hope I get to watch Argentina/Lithuania later, that's the game of the day other than what I've heard about Brazil/Australia earlier this morning. Spain/China should be worse than the USA game. At least France has some guys that can play.

De Colo is smart but slow and can be a nice 12-13th man in the nba.

    I'll take it.
Work with Chip at his shooting and he could be a nice 12th man.
But expecting him to take over Neal is still a too high damn dream

A 12th-13th caliber player is not bad for a second round pick like De Colo. Neal is better though.

Well, the game went as expected. USA was too good. France could have made the game closer by hitting some 3's but USA could have made it an even bigger blowout by playing harder especially in the 4th quarter. They showed some mercy.

Anyway, not a bad day for FNT. Nobody is injured or tired after a game that looked more like a scrimmage than an Olympic game.

France was literally below 10% from three. They suck at shooting. That and they were giving Tony a hard time, lots of double teams, not a lot of passing lanes.

France's shooting disgusts me. I can shoot better than these guys. Piss poor shooters. They need to learn how to shoot the ball.

They didn't learn how to shoot the Germans in WWII, they're not going to learn how to shoot now...

As leader of France and the Spurs, Tony should demand fatass Diaw to shape up. Damn it looks like he ate all the Shepherd's pies in London.
Diaw is the rare NBA player whose team wants him to play all summer in the Olympics.

    Yep, jerseys are horrible.

Usually FNT wears Nike jerseys, that are fine, but they had to wear the crappy Adidas jerseys for the Olympics.

Anyone? Did TP play as poorly as the boxscore looks or was it a case of the team making him look worse?

Also, for those going at De Colo - keep in mind he was playing the best team/players in the world. If he were able to really dominate the game (a game in which TP could not dominate) he would not be worth only 2M per year. It's just one game, against a ridic stacked team so probably not best to read too much into it.

He played well in the first quarter where he attacked the rim with success.
He didn't play great the rest of the 2nd and 3rd quarter and didn't play at all in the 4th. He was a litthe passive at some times like some OKC games when he was not hot and go to the corner for some stretch

He should have had more assist. FNT player were not hitting any shot and even when he made a good pass to a big man (Seraphin IIRC), the big man missed the dunk...

Turnover were expected against team USA.

But you have to consider that he was at 70% and team USA sent multiple defender that played only for 5 minutes stretch each time...

Diaw and De Colo played very poorly
