SBM - why is it that you can't get along with a completely different group of people on ST now?
I liked and felt for all the characters. I don't think they are anywhere near as hollow as you make them out to be.
Catwoman, Gordon, Blake, Bruce, Foley, Alfred, and Talia all were well developed IMO.

I don't know. I was underwhelmed. Easily my least favorite of the three. Bane didn't translate as well into Nolan's ultra realistic world. That mask was obviously meant to do something other than deliver pain meds. Plus I agree that his character was hurt by basically making him a protector/stooge at the end. While it wasn't the fault of anybody working on the film, having Bane empty Arkham instead of the local pen and including the Joker would've made the movie so much better. There are other things I could nitpick about but overall the movie just didn't do much for me.
What I did like was how Bruce Wayne has aged and how the time spent fighting crime has taken a toll on his body.
Bane wasn't just a stooge and The Joker was best left out of the movie entirely.
Saw it for the third ing time
The music drives the movie, it almost made you care in the parts that the storytelling fell short like climbing out of the pit.
More gripes:
There's too many half-speeches in the beginning and I ing hate that Robin already knows who Batman is right from the start.
The plane hijacking is still fun to watch but wasn't overall as awesome as Joker's bank scene
Bane's sewer scene is still bad ass, although his mask and voice can be more annoying than not on the big screen. They really should have redesigned Bane more, his movie character's background and physical weaknesses are dumb even for a comic book movie
Too much Pvt Joker, and cutting to his closed eye death looked like something from a B-Movie
Batman's chase and escape was theatrical magnificence, but could of lived without the old cop and his lines "you're in for a show today, son"
Way too many shots of Gotham. The Bat flyer got annoying, only need one shot of people squinting at the cool shiny toy, felt like 3-4
Too many characters to cram in a final part of a trilogy.
When Wayne was rehabbing in the pit and doing situps, was it supposed to be funny when he said he was angry instead of scared? Loved Wayne's few scenes of comedic relief though, like when he knew Catwoman wasn't truly sorry for Wayne's misfortune or when Wayne EMP'd the cameras
Overall unimpressive storytelling
Anne H. is maybe a good Catwoman, but good doesn't cut it when you've got greats like the acting seen in Joker and Bane. Felt like watching a raspy Sandra Bullock in a leather suit. She was closer to Matthew Modine's performance than Tom Hardy: forgettable

that is supposed to reference dialogue between Bruce and Rasa Gul in Batman Begins, where Bruce tells him that he has covered up/buried his guilt and fear with anger. That entire Pit part of the movie is just Bruce coming to face to face with fear again and letting it drive him like it did in Batman Begins.
