TJ Ford?
Any news, guesses, thoughts on replacing Newman and Vaughn?
P. J. Carlesimo. Let the games begin.
I've always thought Matt Bonner fit in well on the bench.
Only need to replace 1 coach on the bench. Vaughn wasn't on the bench, Spurs pretty much created that job for him.
Bring the brains of the offense back![]()
Please promote Matt Bonner to assistant coach...
, read my mind
Yeah the offense is what failed...
Hopefully a defensive coordinator.
TJ Ford seems the obvious choice.
What's Messina up to these days?
He has signed a three-year deal with CSKA Moskow.
malik rose so we can get some philly cheesesteaks back to SA
. Don't tell Blair.
Yeah because the pick n roll offensive didn't get predicatable...
Nothing wrong with the league's 2nd best offense & best shooting team. Plenty wrong with the league's 17th best defense. Especially up against a top 4 defensive team in a 7-game series ANDDDDD especially when that same team was almost as potent offensively (3rd best offense & 3rd best shooting).
That's true but why run the same play over & over, if it stopped working???
The Spurs simply put it couldn't hang with the Thunder offensively.
How about Ditka?![]()
I was thinking about Mario Elie for some reason, but he's with the Nets.
What about Bruce? He's a great locker-room presence who could school our young perimeter guys (especially Kawhi and Danny) in elite man defence.
And yeah, TJ seems like a good guy, but no idea whether he's thinking about coaching or not.
Wasn't he an assistant coach with the Toros?
EDIT: He volunteered to be an assistant, so I'd imagine it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for him to be an assistant with the Spurs.

Thanks for the info.
I'm sure that was used as a kind of try-out. If the FO liked what they saw it makes sense to give him a go.
It would almost make sense to make Brad Jones and TJ Ford assistants and give the Toros to Tyler Jenkins.
I definately think that we need to reinforce our coaching staff.... Popovich is not nearly as brilliant of a coach as his record suggests...
So, you agree, then. The Spurs couldn't stop the Thunder from scoring. But the Thunder were able to limit the Spurs scoring.
