MJD's career average: 4.6
Great HoF backs: 4.5
You are re ed.
...to play is running back and good backs are a dime a dozen. So much of what they do is simply instinct, once they go where they were suppose to they have no idea what comes next. Simply instincts.
Maurice Jones Drew would be so easy to replace. I can't believe he doesn't know that. The great Hall of Fame backs will average 4.5ish, an average back...4.0.
We have seen tons of rookie running backs star in their rookie season, they have those fresh/young legs and it's simply easy to do.
I wouldn't spend big money on any running back. Who was the last great Patriot running back? Packers? Giants?
MJD's career average: 4.6
Great HoF backs: 4.5
You are re ed.
What did the Lions do with Barry Sanders there? What did the Bears do with Gale Sayers there? What did the Jags do with Drew there? Neither the Giants/Pats had a great back last season.
Don't know much about the NFL do ya amigo?
What did the Chargers do when Tomlinson was there?
You can win without that "great" back, that has been proven over and over again.
When the Niners won their first SB who were their backs? I could go on and on and on.
Watch an NFL game this season, ok? All NFL backs can get the job done. They were studs all their life or they wouldn't be on your roster.

/thread
No need to go further.
Don't know football at all do you?
You certainly can't, B....
"B-B-But Alex Smith IS a good quarterback, Jaws said so!"
![]()
Barry Sanders: 5.0
Bo Jackson: 5.4
Jim Brown: 5.2
The winning/stats say so. The add Jaws and myself who know far more about this than you do.
Smith is in the top half, he's note great, he's not super, he's...good.
Not at all interested in another example of your stupidity, ok?
Winning? LOL, nice 32-34 career record....
The stats clearly show he leads an inefficient, turnover-prone offense and is mediocre himself, B....

Bo Jackson isn't in the HOF
Do you have a brain in your ing head?
Leroy Kelly..4.2
Jim Taylor..4.4
Earl Campbell..4.3
Franco Harris..4.1
Tony Dorsett..4.3
John Riggins...3.9
Emmitt Smith...4.2
Joe "The Jet" Perry..5.0
John Henry Johnson..4.3
Now take Sanders, Brown and Gale Sayers who avg around 5.0
Around 4.5-ish give or take.
Dude, you are a ing moron.
Here ya go stupid...
Who had the largest average ever when rushing for over a 1000 yards in a season?

Once again idiot....talking last season
I can name every QB of note on every NFL team ever, can you?
Clearly that means you know so much about what actually happens on the field, B....![]()
I played the game for 20 years amigo. I 've watched the game since the early 60's, what do you want to know about the game on the field?
Judging from your takes, you must have been hit in the head one too many times, tbh.....
As you realize I'd school in the actual nuts and bolts pertaining to the game of football.
What would you like to know?
You won't find Gale Sayers name on any All Time Yardage list. He was far superior to Smith and most those top 10 yardage backs.
It's...
Jimmy Brown
Barry Sanders
Walter Payton
Gale Sayers
I don't read many Avante posts, but is his shtick to act like a got once somebody points out flaws in his re ed arguments?
Avante is a got
Such as what? Be specific.
As you do nothing, sheesh!!!!
