This guy killed a man in a bar fight, so he was sent to the infamous Angola Prison in Angola Louisiana. He was discovered there by Dr. Harry Oster around 1959, when he got out he began recording. He did record some sides while there. Hogman Maxey, Guitar Welch and Otis Webster were also discovered but none ever recorded later on.



You'd want to mix him with Mississippi Fred McDowell, Mance Lipscomb, 1959 Lightnin' Hopkins sides and some Smokey Hogg.
