Don't know why people pile on DPG... he's only here to talk basketball, IMO

It sucks tho man, I lost a lot of sleep. I'm hoping I can get my hours cut this year as I will be taking 12-15 hours again but this time I want to try and get all A's.
I do love havin the money though but I was very stressed last year which led to me going down a bad road(parties, drinking, weed). I'm sober now tho
No one is piling on, Nono. Tyson is just lying for some reason.
you white boys gotta work while in college?
I been giving ya'll too much credit. I thought you were the upper crest whites who's parents paid for everything. carry on![]()
My parents will pay tuition but I gotta pay for books, food, new car payment, insurance, gas, and anything else I want so that's why I work as much as I do. Like I said though, work sucks but I love having the money to spend on whatever so it doesn't really bother me
Lol acting like you have it bad. If your tuition is paid, you got better than 90% of the college population.
My parents do pay for basically everything, they saved up money for me which woulda been more than enough before tuition rates doubled (and they seriously doubled in Arizona)....the only reason it is enough is because I have a partial scholarship and work so they don't have to pay for anything other than tuition and rent.
Lol Trill, you can go back to your original assessment. They still got it good.
I had to pay tuition and work full-time...that isn't fun but at least I am not a slave to student loans and whatnot...
Anyhow, wow did the U.S. look pitiful against Lefty's fatherland, Tunisia.
When did I say I had it bad you dumb n!gger? You made a statement saying that us rich white people don't have to work cause our parents pay for everything. I responded with how many parents don't pay for everything and I work still. Nowhere did I say I had it bad.
Parents supposed to pay for college, tbh. It's just a tax for getting the little s out of the house so mom & dad can get it on like they did before that broken condom.
Lol whoa whoa white slave master remnants jumping out of you there. Calm down, it's 2012, you guys haven't owned slaves for a while now. Anyway when did I make that statement? Let's cut the , you responded to Trill's post with a short list of things you have to pay on your own to give off an impression that you still have it a little tough when you actually don't. Stop backpeddling.
You do realize that the only reason you are free is because white men decided that slavery was wrong, and a white man freed you right? Way to play the race card and look like an idiot.
I like how you just skipped someone calling me a nig and get on me for playing the race card.
Sure white men thought slavery was wrong but freeing slaves was never the intent. Abe Lincoln's original plan didn't call to end slavery.
Damn, I guess the history books must have been all wrong then because they say the Civil War was fought over slavery. Since white men didn't want to free them, who did? Was it the magical Fairy who did it all on his own without evil whitey's help?
Funny, I just went to wikipedia for a quick look and right under "Causes of Succession" number one is slavery. Odd, maybe my computer is like white or something.
The civil war was fought because of the secession.
Read a history book instead of a wiki page. There were main reasons for the war and freeing slaves was not on top of the to do list.
It's well known wikipedia is written by crackers...
and what was one of the major reasons the southern states seceded?
And how come whenever it was over they didn't just go back to the original system if they loved it so much?
"The slavery issue was primarily about whether the system of slavery was an anachronistic evil that was incompatible with Republicanism in the United States, or a state system protected by the Cons ution. The strategy of the anti-slavery forces was to stop the expansion and thus put slavery on a path to gradual extinction. To the white South this strategy trampled their Cons utional rights.[12] Slavery was gradually phased out of existence in the North and was fading in the border states and urban areas, but expanded in highly profitable cotton states of the Deep South.

In 1820 controversy over admitting Missouri as a slave state resulted in the Missouri Compromise. The acquisition of Texas as a slave state and controversy over the status of slavery in western territories conquered during the Mexican–American War resulted in the Compromise of 1850.[13] The Wilmot Proviso was an attempt by Northern politicians to exclude slavery from those new territories. Many believed with Lincoln that without expansion slavery would eventually die out.[14] The popular anti-slavery novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin further agitated the north and the south over slavery.[15] Disagreements over slavery ruined the Whig and Know Nothing parties, and split the Democratic Party between North and South. The slavery issue exploded in 1854 with the Kansas–Nebraska Act. This replaced the Missouri Compromise ban on slavery with popular sovereignty, allowing the people of a territory to vote for or against slavery, and led to the formation of the new Republican Party, which was committed to stopping the expansion of slavery.[16][17]"
"slavery issue was related to sectional compe ion for control of the territories.[36][37][38][39] Southern concerns included not only economic loss but also fears of racial equality.[40][41][42][43][44][45][46][47][48] The North felt threatened as well, for as Eric Foner concludes, "Northerners came to view slavery as the very an hesis of the good society, as well as a threat to their own fundamental values and interests."
lol the white man saving your ass
Parents saved money for me for college but I got scholarships (for academics and soccer initially) and worked so told them no thanks. Took out loans for what I couldn't pay - as a graduation gift my dad paid off my undergraduate debt which was an amazing gift that I was so grateful for.
Paid for graduate school myself. Still paying off that debt, but I am only about 3.8 years removed from grad school and don't have too much debt left luckily.
