If he committed suicide, then where is the gun he used? If he was shot by an unknown assailant from outside the vehicle, why no bullet holes in the window?

Hate to say it -- and I've met a handful of Arkansans I genuinely love-- but my feeling about the state is similar to my feeling about California: get rid of the people there and it would be awesome. Arkansas is freaking beautiful, but the culture is creepy.

Well, usually, the handcuffed prisoner produces a gun and starts shooting at the officers in the front seat; or they produce less deadly items like a knife or a cell phone.

I once witnessed a handcuffed prisoner completely disrobe on the 5 minute drive to the station.
