relative to what, top schools like MIT? Also what experience do you have with UTSA and its engineering program ?
I go to a top engineering school, but regardless - even if a school's not exactly top 10-20 in engineering in the nation but overall it's good, it'll be okay.

But UTSA is pretty bad man. NO ONE who is not familiar with the Texas public school system will have no clue with what it is, and most engineering companies in Texas (mainly Austin, Dallas, Houston) like AMD/intel/etc. would much rather hire from UT Austin or Texas A&M grads than UTSA lool.

You really should of went to UT Austin.

I mean, UTSA isn't even like top 75 in schools in the nation, if you were to go to the silicon valley in San Francisco, the mecca of engineering companies and startups with a UTSA degree, people would be like WTF, they'd much rather hire Berkely, Georgia tech, CALtech, MIT, UIUC, and then like 40 other schools before UTSA.

Yes, you could have obviously commuted to UT Austin. Even if a parent was sick or you didn't want to pay rent by living in Austin.

If UTSA's average SAT score really is 1400 out of 2400, then
Would Derrick Rose be accepted at UTSA?

the self pwnage continues. with absolutely 0 preparation, and going up there on like 3 hours sleep i got around a 1325 and i was totally ashamed of that and knew i could do much better. had i not decided to stay home to save money, i would have retaken it to get into a better school. i wouldn't divulge embarrassing information like that if i were you, 1100 is terrible and confirms that you are as dumb as your basketball opinions.
Did your score include the writing? 1110 (which is the score I got iirc) was a good score tbh. You can look that up if youd like, I didnt do any studying for it either but I was on more than 3 hrs of sleep.

    Obvious bull .

San Antonio's only like 90 miles away from Austin
I know the distance between the two cities. It wasnt the distance, obviously.

1100 out of 1600 is terrible. it's like right around average, which with the american grade school system as ed up as it is, you'd be like below average in any other country probably including mexico.
When did you take it? The scoring system changed shortly after I took it, 1100+ at the time was not average tbh.

Ya, it was your poor decision making/excuses that led you to be a guy who watches Shemale porn and then spams websites with it.

i'm willing to bet he stayed home to help out his family in some sort of way, which i can't really knock him for that but it sucks that the local program just happened to be so ty and will absolutely make it hard to find a job under the current conditions.
There is nothing he could not have done due to the close distance going to UTA vs UTSA. Would it have been a little harder? Definitely. But it was certainly possible.

1100/1600 has always been a slightly above average score, but depending on what the math score was, definitely not a score someone who plans to have a career in engineering should have

So I looked it up - UTSA's Engineering* program is ranked in the bottom 7 of this list (186th out of 192:

    http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsa...ankings/page+8

So FKLA, if we are being honest here, he wasn't calling it sh*t (which isn't cool to knock someone trying to at least get the piece of paper if they aren't going to work hard) compared to MIT, he was probably going off of these rankings and comparing it as sh*t to schools like The University of New Orleans.
Did this help answer your question some though? Do you at least see why people may have the opinion?

An engineering degree is useful brah. Even from UTSA. You wont hear me argue that its better than the schools you listed but considering what I had to work with Ill take it.

He probably had to get a second job to take care of his family because his 17 brothers and sisters were too busy being mules for the cartels.

Speaking of UT Austin, last year their law program moved into T14 status. I know it sucks to be a lawyer right now, but it's something I've always wanted to do and it's damn tempting, considering tuition is only roughly 60% of the cost of the other top programs.
If you become a lawyer, I won't speak to you anymore.

It's something you can do later and since you want a career in finance, going to a top law school on the East Coast is much better since I-banks grab people right out of law schools like Harvard and NYU.
