There was no lie, I said you still had a problem in the very next sentence. It was phrased pretty poorly though tbf.
Ill let you and m>s duke it out though. I have to get back to engineering.![]()
Where do I knock people for where they go to school or what they do for a living? Where do I say I don't make mistakes?
You are wrong about basketball, me too, just not nearly as much as you - Should I bump the Dwight/Deron to Dallas thread
Bet - If you can link to where I rip on people for pursuing degrees I will leave forever. If not, you and all your trolls are gone forever.
I have PM'd Kori and she said she would carry this out. So you have 1 hour.
What is the tuition of UTSA vs UT?
Coming out of HS, I had like 1800 on my SAT and got accepted to all the schools I applied for (Tech, a&m, UNT, Arkansas) except for UT. But Im going to a community college for my first 2 years because I didnt have a lot of money and I'm trying to save some. Classes are cheap (109 vs 1k).
I had scholarships to UNT and Tech for music tho but no I'm not majoring in music. Some of us just ain't rich
I'm not arguing with Tyson though. He is obsessed and annoying as . Does anyoone else just wish he would shut the up?!!! C'mon guys, who wishes that he would just shut the up for once!!! Damn!
You're the people's poster. Not some self-righteous prick who goes out of his way to troll others.
The cost of living in Austin is something to consider other than tuition and school related expenses. I only went my last two years after attending the local university. It is a great university. If you're looking to major in the hard sciences, UT is the school to go to.

UTSA business, engineering colleges rank in top 10 by Hispanic Business magazine
Obviously the honkey's are underrating UTSA![]()
I graduated from UTSA in 08. And yes, lol UTSA. I was a tutor for Chem and Bio and holy I had to deal with so many dumbasses. I transfered to the downtown campus tutoring center just to avoid everyone.
figured it was a Hispanic business magazine.
if Fkla had to still live in San Antonio than a 180 mile roundtrip daily commute is pretty unreasonable imho
yeah commuting from San Antonio to Austin on a daily basis is an unreasonable hypothetical
I just don't see any reasons other than financial-related reasons why staying in San Antonio and going to UTSA over UT-Austin is justified.
Really? People commute an hour to work in a lot of major cities. I go from Austin to SA (and even further sometimes) for work on a regular basis. I knew people that lived in SA to save money (could live with their parents) and would commute to UTA (schedule classes just 3 days a week, take online class when available) and they could occas crash with a friend in Austin if need be.
I really don't think it's that big of a deal, even if it's not ideal. It's quite an easy drive to go to Austin and back daily. Especially if it means the difference in a great opportunity possibly.
The time in between wouldn't be an issue as much as distance and the resulting gas costs for a college student. It would also be tons of wear and tear on your car and you'd be screwed if your car crapped out.
It might have worked for some people you knew but it's not a very practical lifestyle. There are plenty of reasons why that would take any possible fun out of school and make it miserable.
Nevertheless I still don't get why you chose UTSA over UT-Austin unless money is an issue.
The cost of gas would be ridiculous imho. Not to mention meeting/dating people in college would really be difficult considering you would have to plan everything out beforehand. You couldn't just go hang out with your buddies at a moment's notice. Social life is much more important in college than just going to work. It would just be a ty situation in general.
I am not being mean, I promise, but all of that sounds like excuses. It would be tough, but there are people that do incredible things and work so hard when it comes to taking control of their lives. So maybe gas is extra and you get some wear and tear, so you pick up that extra shift on a weekend to make up the money.
This is your life we are talking about. I guess if college is about having as much fun as possible (which is fine) then ya, but if it's about setting yourself up for the best shot at success (whatever that looks like to you), then you put in the work. All those things you mention when you step back and look at them (annoying drive, extra gas money, possible wear and tear, not a lot of fun...) are not true stubmling blocks IMO when it comes to taking control of your life. Sure it's not the most practical thing, but again, there are people that do amazing things and work so hard to achieve their ultimate dreams.
What do you mean by money issue? People can work in college, apply for grants and take out loans to cover what they need. Unless your parents have a college fun, you are going to have some debt.
Sure, but he's from San Antonio and would continue living there, so presumably you already have friends in SA you can hang out with/date locally. Plus living at home should save you some money if you are willing to work so that makes up for the gas IMO.
Again, if social life is what is important to an individual, that's fine, but it just seems like you can have a reasonable social life (for the reasons I listed above) and take advantage of a great opportunity. Partying in college was fun, but you tend to make the best of any situation and find fun so that wasn't even a consideration (at least for me).
I actually got accepted to UT-Austin, but chose UTSA. Money was kind of an issue, (my sis offered to pay for my rent if moved to SA) but if you're Pre-Dental, UTSA surprisingly has a damn good acceptance rate due to proximity to the UT Health Science Center Dental School. They've also got an early acceptance program where you do 3 years at UTSA and automatically get a seat at the dental school. Didn't do that program tho, cuz I wanted to party a lil' more for a 4th year.
I'm happy with my decision. Still a dentist now even if I went to UTSA.
My parents didn't pay for my school. They offered, I said no, worked, played soccer and took out loans.
In your above cacluation, I've never met a single person who couldn't find a job waiting tables, doing valet or bartending while in college. You can make decent money. Again, you can take out loans like most everyone else too.
Not to mention the only variable costs in your calc is gas - the car note, food and cell phone all exist regardless of where he goes to school.
It's not hating - only your f*cking dumb a** keeps trying to annoyingly troll.
UT Austin's rell school of engineering is ranked 8th in the nation above the likes of Princeton, Harvard, Cornell, Columbia, and all of the UCs except Berkeley
http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsa...s/eng-rankings
UTSA's school of engineering is 7th to last on page 8 of the rankings.
I don't believe for one second that FkLA was accepted to UT's school of engineering with an 1100 SAT (people accepted to the rell school of engineering at UT typically had SATs in the 1400-1450/1600 range on the old test - a full 300-350 points higher than what Fkla scored).
maybe if you buy a smaller car (which DPG is perfectly suited in) you will save alot on gas cost, and DPG is so rich he never gets bothered by losing online bets so money ain't at all an issue for him imho
No. Your calculation is wrong. I got Tyson ButtmadAlways on my jock. Do you ever shut the up? You are annoying as and I'm done responding to you for now. Let's see if you have it in you to quit raging against DPG.
