I think the case is mostly due to being overly sensitive to be real with you, yeah. Gotta use your head sometimes. Did NBC reeeeaaally do that with racial intent? Nah. That's why there isn't much outrage over it.
    Yup.

It’s not OK to ignore this pro-Romney ad

By telling potential voters “It’s OK to make a change,” the RNC is acknowledging all that I mention above. It’s OK to like the guy personally but not vote for him again. This is not a popularity contest. It’s OK to vote against the black guy. You gave him a shot. He gave it his best shot. He failed. And the most effective message is: “It’s OK to make a change” — and not be thought of as a racist.

Throughout Obama’s presidency, I’ve received more than a few e-mails and tweets from folks complaining that they are branded racist if they disagree with anything the president says or does. And it doesn’t help matters that I have seen more than a few e-mails and tweets from ardent Obama supporters doing exactly that. I have also seen instances of this on television and in print.

That’s why the “It’s OK to make a change” ad is the most dangerous for Obama’s reelection efforts. It give those few, yet crucial, undecided voters the pass they might be looking for to vote against Obama.
Think about what the writer is saying.

Apparently, this Washington Post writer believes this ad is dangerous because it frees people to vote against Barack Obama and not be considered racist. So, by saying that, isn't he admitting -- for himself anyway -- that a certain number of 2008 voters, that cast their ballots for voters, have stayed in the Obama camp because there is a tendency to paint criticism of Obama as racist?

Not only that, he's not trying to simply explain the phenomenon, he seems worried that this is the case. Quite revealing.

Yes, people see racism where it doesn't exist. Yes, many times, it results in hilarity -- other times, it runs the risk of completely destroying innocent people.

Just ask David Howard or George Zimmerman.

God damn, people are as stupid as yoni if they were waiting for permission to cast their secret ballot against Obama.

And believe me, I would love to ask George Zimmerman what it's like to completely destroy an innocent person.

kinda loosey-goosey with facts: I've seen my share, I've heard people say, I've seen instances of. That's his evidence of wide-spread fearmongering?

Ipso facto is used in relation to a specific action. ie X occured therefor ipso facto Y is true. it's not a generalized case.

    Thank you.

On another note what drove your use of ipso facto in response to Oh, Gee!!?

I only said it in response to the irony of your obvious attempt at pedantry and the consideration that your usage was wrong.

the literal meaning --"by the fact itself" -- was intended. not sure what's wrong with that.

So you are trying to say that what they are thinking is inherently true because they think it?

It's a logical construct. Because it is X it inherently has the property of Y.

He is a man ipso facto he has testicles
The animal is a dog ipso facto it eats .

whatever one already thinks are ipso facto valid
The subject and predicate are pretty obvious. At best your usage is misleading/ambiguous.

It's a relation between something and it's inherent property. It's also well regarded as a fail in regards at an attempt at pedantry even when it is used correctly.

For example here is what Black's law dictionary:

Latin for “by the fact itself.” This term is used by Latin-addicted lawyers when something is so obvious that it needs no elaboration or further explanation.

I was making a facetious observation. I'm not surprised it went over your head, nor that you went full bore pedant.

which btw, I never mind if the pedantry hits the mark; in this case you were oblivious to the humor and your criticism was a stretch.

Um no it wasn't. You have not even made an attempt at a logical refutation. your usage was wrong.

    Oh and

anecdotes and inferences that buttress whatever one already thinks are ipso facto valid
That's SOOOOO funny!! I am just overcome with the ironic disingenuousness. HAHAHAHA!!

It was your typical attempt at 'poetic' pedantry. So charming.

Making a racial thread about something you admit doesn't offend you nor you consider racist not only makes you a shameless race-baiter, but a ing re . This thread literally has no point and you admit as such.

You need to consider ending your life.

Posturing instead of refutation. Channelling your inner wc I see. It should be noted that this particular position contradicts your ridicule of those that assume their positions are correct in and of themselves.

Here is hint: ipso facto means "because this fact is true this other fact is true." Seeing your comments about anecdotes, it's obviously not the case. Otoh, per se means "in and of itself"
