Gasol is trash and Bynum is Lazy...we're not getting past OKC with these two clowns..In fact Denver would beat us next year...Bynum got completely outplayed by Faried..and he's overrated because of his size....dude is a virtual bum
can't wait to read the posts on lakersground

wrong...Dwight will intimidate the out of the Heat...Bosh pussies up around Dwight and Wade and Lebron routinely gets their blocked by Dwight...if we land Dwight, sign Kenyon, and keep Artest we gonna be bully s straight up the ave
bynum would make the same effect imho and that's why i said we were very lucky to take on OKC in the finals instead of Lakers. even the hibbert/west combo caused us a ton of troubles in the eastern semifinals and dragged the series to 7 IIRC

lakers got weaknesses of their own, however, they struggle against good shooters and there's a reason why it always seemed an impossible mission for them to get past such teams like OKC and mavs. we're a better shooting team now with the newly additions of allen and lewis tbh

Mitch probably sees that Bynum and Kobe are going to clash soon
Yeah, but Dwight's a drama queen himself and Kobrick won't keep him in check, he'll just sink to Dwight's level... we've seen this show before, tbh...

I love how the insiders are pretending as if Gasol might be involved. We all know how this is going to end because its the same way it was always going to end. The Lakers are not only getting Howard, but they're going to somehow get away with not giving up Gasol in the process.
are you a wizard? espn reports the deal is complete and does not include gasol as of this moment.

with Jamison we'd be able to close out on Miami's shooters..I'd say put Artest on Wade he'd shut Wade down

Garden-variety Lakersground take, tbh... the Heat aren't gonna be intimidated by anyone, they have the best player in the world on their squad... Bron-Bron, aka LeClutch, aka Ring James... acknowledge the rep...

    holy ...

A four-team trade that would send Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers is complete, multiple sources told ESPN on Thursday night.
A source with direct knowledge of the talks told ESPN.com's Marc Stein that the Lakers will receive Howard, the Denver Nuggets will get Andre Iguodala, the 76ers will get Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson, and the Magic will get Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vujecic and one protected future first-round pick from each of the other three teams.
In addition, the Magic will be getting other pieces, including 76ers draft pick Moe Harkless, a source told Stein.
Sources close to the process tell Stein and ESPNLosAngeles.com's Ramona Shelburne that a trade call with the league office has been scheduled for Friday to secure the necessary NBA approval to make the deal official.
Lakers forward Pau Gasol had been in and out of talks, sources told Shelburne.
Earlier Thursday, Yahoo! Sports, citing sources, reported that talks of a four-team trade involving Howard have taken place this week and have "grown serious."
Sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard that Philadelphia has not spoken to Bynum or his representatives and has no assurances he will sign a long-term extension with the club.
"The Sixers are willing to take a shot (without Bynum's commitment)," one source said.
Although Bynum signing an extension with the 76ers is not out of the question, according to a source, his stance all summer has been he only will sign an extension with the Lakers.

    RT @johnschuhmann
How do you trade Dwight Howard & not get one of the other 2 All-Stars in the deal? Something is amiss.

Not a done deal. League approval pending ... en stern!!!

Working on a major presentation for work tomoorow but if the trade gets done, I will be viewing the Clutch City forums. Pretty sure the silver lining will be they kept the White version of Pippen (Parsons).

tell Timvp I love him for this...
I would roll my eyes but this is just the Lakers being the Lakers. They pretty much get whoever they want, whenever they want. That's what happens when you're the team 99% of players grow up wanting to play for (including Tim Duncan) while being in the best market ... so there's really no reason to be angry. Tbh, with their built-in advantages, the Lakers should win every NBA championship.

But, anyways, what are the ripple effects of this trade in terms of the Spurs? My first thought is it should be an even bigger priority for the Spurs to sign another center. I haven't liked what I've seen when Splitter tries to defend Howard.

Thankfully, Duncan does rather well against him, especially when you factor in both ends of the court. But it's undeniable that the Lakers are now much improved.

    *sigh* - TimVp
