If that's all it took to make a rival then we would consider almost every team a rival.
Blazers never made much noise in Laker history, unlike the Cs and Spurs. When Blazers play at Staples, it's just another game. When Lakers are up in Portland, they act like its game 7. It's as one-way as a rivalry can get, a lot of fans don't even know the Blazers rang before.
It's just a case of Lakers being Lakers and Blazerfans butthurt over it

I don't really give a if LA got Howard. Our team is mainly based on perimeter shooting anyway. The only guy who drives the paint is Parker. LA has no one who can keep up with our perimeter players. I wouldn't be surprised if we swept them next season.
