While I think much of the libertarian ideal is flawed, I can at least respect the Cato ins ute for being pure. This would be a bad thing:

I have been following this and had seen the slate article but not the julian sanchez article.
I agree with Sanchez. I assume this is just the Koch's desire to take over as much mind control as possible?
The other thing is: Sanchez is right that the Koch brothers are to the left as Michael Moore is to the right...but their underwriting of the Swift Boat ads in the 2004 election is something I will never forget or get over. It sort of marked a descent into the worst sort of political hate-mongering with not even a shred of truthfulness that I had not seen before...at least not at that level.
The Koch brothers are flat-out MEAN!!!
Cato and the Kochs settle:

As if CATO weren't already financed by the VRWC.
Funding of Cato
http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php...unding_of_Cato
the funding sources don't write the papers for them, boutons.
paper writers don't trash their funders.
They at best remain neutral, but mostly LIE to support their funders (that's why funders fund stink tanks).
guess you missed the part about Cato's lawsuit against the Kochs.
proves nothing. CATO doesn't produce any anti-VRWC/1% "thoughts" because of their funding sources.
Being OWNED outright by Kock Bros would expose them undeniably for what they are, shills for the VRWC/1%.
proves they took a major funder to court. that didn't reflect an ins utional desire for independence? was all a ruse?
yes, total bull ruse, "proving" to deep thinkers like yourself that CATO is truly independent of corrupting/compromising assholes like Kock Bros.
What blog did you crib that from?
I'm sure you've got plenty of cites to back that bull up.
