    Nah; Shaq was still a force in 2006. Wade never would've made it if it to the Finals if Shaq hadn't been holding down the paint, and then he coat-tailed the refs the rest of the way to the le.

    Once Shaq declined and left, Wade and Miami weren't until they formed the Superfriends. Wade gets more credit for being a superstar because of one (whistle-filled) Finals run than any other player in recent history imo.

    Fair points but whistle aided or not Wade had the best Finals performance since MJ ... I do think he is a bit overrated. Manu has a case for second best SG (since MJ) over Wade but I would still give it to Wade, but its closer than most think.

    Also Shaq was mostly ineffective in the Finals. Dampier out played him in Dallas and Zo was a bigger factor in the close out game. Regular season Shaq was a force ...but that was Wade's le.

    But I don't know what was worse, the Mvs bending over after a 2 game lead, or his FTAs.

    bron was on that 04' team too imho, they got experienced guys like duncan/iverson/mrbury but 2 out of these 3 are selfish players, and the rest of the team was predominantly made of raw talents who had little to none experience for big events. plus they were playing probably the best non-US national basketball team in history (argentina)
