Jean looks legit. If Houston gets a good No. 2 WR they'll be in deadly.

Indeed. Kid is oozing with potential. He an Martin are going really bolster our WRs this year.

I haven't really learned a whole lot about the Niners I din't already know.

Smith is a bum who still makes the same mistakes as he always has. awful progressions, can't get it out fast enough, bad decisions etc etc

O-line can run block but is shaky in pass block schemes, same as last year

Defense is good and will be better once (if?) all the starters get healthy...same-o
    but...
The secondary can be shaky if there isn't much pressure up front

    ----

Randy is running some decent routes and looks to be a bigger part of the passing game than I had previously expected.

Kendall Hunter will be able to spell Gore with little or no drop off, hopefully helping both stay healthy

Right side of the o-line looks to need a lot more work than the left (Boone in particular)

Kaepernick will never be anything more than a gimmicky, spread option bum (sad to say, but the Niners are in huge trouble if Smith goes down)

    ------

Of course, I thought they could be, possibly, the worst team in Niner history after their performance in the preseason last year. Harbaugh saves a lot for when the season actually starts... so really, who knows?

Oh, and the 9er special teams looks very good as always

Houston is obviously a playoff team, assuming they stay healthy. Their front 7 is excellent. Too bad the Niners don't have anyone to test that secondary. Really, the Texans secondary probably gets worked more often by their scout team bums than the Niners.

You guys will go as far as Schaub can take you, imo. He looks real good sometimes, but then he'll do something that makes you say wtf? Still don't think you guys are on the level with the Patriots, but no question you can play with and beat anyone else, including the Ravens. Need that run defense to get better, though

I'd also like to say lol Cowgirls and congrats to Houston for being the clear-cut best team in the state of Texas

Not too worried about the defense considering JJ Watt is out until the first game. I am worried about the oline though.

Yup. The Oline has to stay healthy. One injury there and things could go to in a hurry.

SF is one of the best rushing teams in the league and with Watt out the results are not that surprising. I'm not worried as much about the secondary. I think they can hold it down well enough to allow the pass rush to do it's thing(it looks like Kareem Jackson turned into an actual football player at some point during the summer). As symple mentioned, Schaub really is the key. He looks like a genius throwing the ball with his decision most of the time but it seems like there are one or two plays in every game that are facepalmworthy. Houston as constructed is probably an AFC contender, but if they want to go to the big dance they have to stay healthy and Schaub has to be nearly flawless.

I wouldnt say nearly flawless. I mean if the oline is complete then i agree. It all has to do with confidence with Schaub. He knows he has a top 5 defense. He appears to have more weapons with Keshawn, Lestar alongside Andre, Daniels and Foster. One problem with him is he underthrows balls alot, like the one Andre came back for.

Im excited about the recievers. The defense has to get better against the run. Also Trindon Holliday is a home run threat everytime. Like you said, if the oline holds up, they should be scary good.

Great defense, great special teams, stud TE, weak division, a stable of backs and receivers and a QB coming off his best season.

    Gotta love it~!
