Today's music only sucks if you don't listen to anything but the radio. Don't try and make an opinion on something that you haven't even ventured out to explore or understand.
Andrew Bird, Bonobo, Grizzly Bear, The Roots, Mike Patton... the variety is at an all time high.
tl;dr 60/70's didn't suck. Today's music doesn't suck.
There was like that in every era. People tend to compare it to what they hear on the oldies station which only plays the cream of the crop from past eras.
late 90's is by far the worst. We had nu-metal, boy bands, AND buttrock all at the same time.
