I've been told to watch this but I hear it's more trying to be for the young teenage group, this true?
Frankly it's a good movie, but I just didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would based on the previous Batman. Maybe I should give it another try in a few months. It was a surprise because I'm a fan of both Nolan and Bale, I even like Hathaway most of the time.
And for the record anything above 5 is a good movie, if I think the movie is bad no way it gets a 5.

Yea it stars a bunch of young kids and teens but you get to see a lot of them fight and die too. The leads weren't annoying but the shaky camera got old. Still 8/10 for young adult and adult audiences imo
Is it better than Battle Royale?
Winnie the Pooh (2011) 8/10
Always love eyeore.
Used Cars - 9/10
One of the great classic comedies.
The Raid: Redemption.. 10/10 ... Hands down one of the best action movies I have seen in a long time! The fight scenes are brutal and amazing!
Really want to see The Raid - glad to hear great things.
Yeah I still need to see that as well
The Raid was decent, but I didn't like the fact that everybody in it knew martial arts and that some characters could take an almost unlimited amount of punishment.
But that's what made it even more awesome!
Numerical ratings are arbitrary. A perfect film depends entirely on the viewer, obviously.
Yep.
The Godfather 2, Scarface, Pan's Labyrinth, Gladiator, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind are sure fire 10 out of 10 movies.
Those are the ones that come to mind. I'm sure I'm leaving quite a few out as well.
I dont see what's so funny.
The Shawshank Redemption, without a doubt
Prometheus 8/10
I liked it, barely got to watch it. Visually beautiful in some scenes, interesting, and looking forward to the sequel.
Moonrise Kingdom. I'll say... 7/10?
Wes Anderson's films just keep getting more and more Wes Anderson-y, and if that trend continues he's eventually going to lose me. This one isn't there yet, but I can feel it on that precipice. Which is why it's hard to grade. The parts that worked I thought worked incredibly well. I laughed a ton, which is always a good sign in a comedy. But, like I said, the shtick is on the verge of becoming too intentional for my taste. In this one specifically, the stylized acting was a bit much in parts (and had to have been at the urging of Anderson, since the cast is full of people I love). And I, personally, think the film would have been plenty hipster even if it wasn't lit/treated to look like it'd been filmed through Instagram.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, I think it deserves the 7, but I'd really like to see Anderson dial it down at some point. Rushmore remains my favorite of his films (by a lot) because it had all the quirk and style inherent to his voice, but at its heart was a genuinely sweet romance. All of his films has come down to a sweet romance, but as he becomes increasingly focused on the staging/presentation of a series of stylized tableaux, I find it gets harder and harder to engage with the central love story.
Sure. But personal taste means what qualifies is varied enough to be meaningless.
Sure but it's completely subjective, that's why I like when there's a line or two explaining the grade - it's easier to form an opinion.
Bernie 7/10
Jack Black did a fantastic job. Other than wearing a bizarre hair piece, MattMc didn't do much of anything. A weak character that hurt an overall enjoyable film.
MIB 3
Pretty good, i was pleasantly surprised at the writing. Pretty creative.
Too many chase scenes and Hollywoods tired old lame "good guy has gun, now bad guy has gun, now good guy has gun, now bad guy has gun" ad nauseum to create **tension** that did nothing but take away from plot but all in all the plot was solid.
The FX were good in that they fit the theme, not just mindless FX with crap blowing up for nothing.
Concur. When the part calls for a genuine Southerner why doesn't Hollywood just find one instead of ad libbing with a CakeBoi type? He was so unbelieveable.
Travolta, etc. Freaking HWood and it's preference.
TDKR
20/10
