sciatica.
call pego
Its excruciating
Constant dull pain with sharp shooting pains depending on how I move and my position. Pain also runs down into my right leg
Recommendations on how I should handle it? I've taken ibuprofen and used icy hot .
stop letting large bald men use your long hair as reigns
i fractured two of my transverse processes in my lower back about 8 years ago and i still have excruciating back pain if i stand up or lay down for too long. when it first happened, i would get back spasms from .
id recommend using a TENS unit and ibuprofen. if it gets to the point to where you cant function, go to the doc and get a prescription for muscle relaxors and codeine.
Make sure to STRETCH!
Shouldn't mess around with your back - go see a doctor and figure out what is wrong. Then they can diagnose how to treat.
Try a massage. I had sciatica for several years, starting with my first pregnancy. It would flare up frequently, just couldn't get any relief. The only thing that would calm it down was sleeping on my side with a pillow between my knees. Then about 3 years ago I started going to a nail salon that has massage chairs in their pedicure stations; these are those real big hard core chairs that have tons of settings, so I just picked a random setting. It was a super tough one that felt like getting punched in the lower back and butt with croquet balls, so strong it almost knocked me out of the chair. And it cured me! After all those years of pain I have not had a single flare up since that day, and I have had a standing appt there every 2 weeks since. Maybe something like that would help you?
Must have been the first time you had sex in years.
have to stay exercised!
Skip the ibuprofen and go with naproxen. It'll help the swelling
This.
Get it checked. I've known of it getting healed through a chiropractor with natural supplements and therapy.
Been having back pain on/off for 5 years. Been to specialists, nothing really has worked, except trying to stretch as much as possible.
See a doc, then yoga
sciatica no doubt.
Sounds like Sciatica! Go see a doctor! Get the fun meds!
Listen to people on the internet.
you're prime target for medical fraud. Expensive, 10Ks of ineffective, expensive back procedures being one the biggest scams going.
you're probably overweight or obese (ie, an American), so get lean to take 10s of pounds pressure off your skeleton
strengthening "core" muscles and legs will help hold the skeleton erect and straight. if your spine isn't perfectly straight, then the nerves are being compressed on one side. An xray would show any spinal bending (doesn't have to be full-blown scoliosis).
Yoga is excellent
eat an anti-inflammatory diet.
Do you use laptops or desktops? Make sure your posture isn't ty
Use your legs more
Strengthen core/legs when you can, although with lower back pain that will make exercising pretty terrible
Take notes from The Dark Knight Rises
ive definitely been trying to focus more on strengthening my core and back muscles lately
im not obese or overweight, i think it actually stems from one time about a year and a half ago, i was weightlifting, and doing dead lifts. i was watching something on TV and got distracted and sat there for a good 20-25 minutes watching whatever it was. When I got up to do my next set of deadlifts, in the middle of the set my muscles had all tightened up and I could barely stand straight for the rest of the day, and it has been on and off lower back pain ever since them. Until about a month and a half ago, i hadn't done any sort of regular back and core strengthening exercises. i have been afraid to, because that was so friggin painful.
I'm gonna try to focus on keeping better posture in my every day activities, and doing full body strength training 3x a week, while also stretching better, getting more rest, and taking anti-inflammatory stuff when I get flare-ups. I'll do that for a few months and see if I progress at all. If not, I'll probably hit up a doctor.
Any other suggestions would be welcome.
I tried but I was told that my punishment must be more severe.
What would this consist of? Non y foods?
I haven't had a real good deep tissue massage since I was like a teenager, and someone just needed to practice. I probably need one.
