Never had that problem, we just always made sure we taught our kids LOTS of interesting things so they never focused on just the convenient or trendy ones like electronics. But my brother has that problem BIG TIME with his kids. Which is funny because when his kids are at my house, the electronics aren't an issue at all.
My daughters loved to read, they couldn't get enought. Many times....you have to get to sleep, school tomorrow...yep, reading.
My son just doesn't get it and I've tried everything. He's into rasslin' so I bought him a couple books on the rasslers, he's still on chapter one. Been months ago, I bought them.

I have to admit that I am ecstatic about school starting next week----has nothing to do with my own kids, I'm just really fed up with all the little kids running around unsupervised at every place I go!
My cousin had a baby girl early this morning. She named her Maddyson Joi. I love my cousin to death, but that spelling makes me want to barf. Not that it matters what I think - we don't get to tell other people what to name their kids!
LOL I just got the first of my twice daily calls from "Loan Service Center" inquiring if I have a VA loan; today was interesting though, because as I was reciting my "For the millionth time, I DO NOT have a VA loan, please remove my name from your roster and don't ever call me again" speech, there was some kind of free for all happening on the line with lots of commotion and a girl screaming "But you are not my real mother!" in the background
I start my new job in 3 weeks.
