If what you say is true then there is no such thing as "endangered" species since the animals can just evolve to survive. By your theory shouldn't we have millions of dodo birds still around?

Like I said do a little research before you try to debate with someone who has.
Is this where you dish a little smack then get hit with an actual debatable counter argument only to run from the thread and never return? You got a little bit of a history.

Why can't a human believe in both creation and evolution? Is it possible that a person could think that a higher being created Earth and life and that organisms have in a way evolved over time?
This is certainly possible. It doesn't necessarily have to be a higher "being" either. Could in fact be anything. Its an endless debate of what created what. If there is a being then what created it and so on. Its not that some reject creationism as a whole its that most educated people reject the biblical accounts.

Yep. And he'll pop up in another thread weeks/months later to make the exact same argument.

So where's the part about them living for 1000s of years 100s of miles away from water? The fact they live far away from water in modern times has nothing to do with what you original said.
Of course it has nothing to do with it. Mouse is the king of non sequiturs and strawman arguments.

Because people use these opinions to legislate their morals upon others. Its not just an opinion.
It's funny that Gaycob1983 cries why can't people just have their opinion in this thread when he's openly complained about gay people having rights as much as anyone else on this site.

why can't I just have the opinion gay people should be treated as sub-human

Actually, one of the possible mechanisms of evolution, genetic drift, is population allele frequency changes due to random chance. Natural selection and the handful of other mechanisms aren't random, however.

Didn't know that. I've been reading up on all of this. I really appreciate you telling this to me.

I'm finding it really interesting that the mathematics of chance have a better chance of altering the allele frequency in smaller groups and less of an effect on larger groups.

I'm not sure if this is accurate for me to imagine... I've been wondering if natural selection/adaptation serves as a specific example of some broader phenomenon... for instance, can we assume that the big bang happened because there was a reason for such a change?

You bringing genetic drift to my attention and reading up on how it brings about evolution in a different way is definitely food for thought. I've thought that things are the way they are due to adaptive nature on macro levels... realizing how something like genetic drift functions on chance makes me wonder if this can be applied on a cosmic level and if so, what would be the results.

Maybe if you put down the porkskins for 2 minutes and scroll back to were he said humans and animals have to evolve in order to survive.

I posted an African tribe that has been around since 1000BC that has been struggling to find water and have yet to develop water storing humps on there're backs.
Why have they not evolved yet?
Show me the proof is tha so hard?

This African tribe has been around since 1000 BC. That answers your question. They're successful.

You make it sound like it happened overnight. I thought you said you read up on all this stuff.

Anyways, you're playing critic without posing an alternative. That's weak man... weak . Are you going to take a stance or just give empty rebuttals because it doesn't support your holy texts?

Last member of 65,000-year-old tribe dies, taking one of world's earliest languages to the grave
    By ANNY SHAW
    UPDATED: 20:09 EST, 9 February 2010

The last member of a 65,000-year-old tribe has died, taking one of the world's earliest languages to the grave.
Boa Sr, who died last week aged about 85, was the last native of the Andaman Islands who was fluent in Bo.
Named after the tribe, Bo is one of the 10 Great Andamanese languages, which are thought to date back to the pre-Neolithic period when the earliest humans walked out of Africa.
Scroll down to hear Boa Sr speak the lost language of the Bo
Boa Sr, who died last week aged about 85, was the last native of the Andaman Islands who was fluent in Bo
Boa was the oldest member of the Great Andamanese, a group of tribes that are the the first descendants of early humans who migrated from Africa about 70,000 years ago and who arrived on the islands around 65,000. Other groups went on to colonise Indonesia and Australia.
She lived through the horrors and hardships of the 2004 Asian tsunami, the Japanese occupation and diseases brought by colonisers in the 19th century.
Boa described the moment the tsunami struck: 'We were all there when the earthquake came.
'The eldest told us "the Earth would part, don't run away or move". The elders told us, that's how we know.'
Professor Anvita Abbi, a linguist who knew Boa, said the tribeswoman had been losing her sight in recent years and was unable to speak with anyone in
her own language and grew up in traditional society, learning to gather wild potatoes and hunt for wild pigs, turtles and

'Alcohol was a big problem. It was killing them one by one.'
The Bo are believed to have lived on the islands for as long as 65,000 years, making them one of the oldest surviving human cultures.Water was hard to find and they walked hundreds of miles to find it.
The king of the Bo tribe died in 2005, leaving only a handful of elderly members who also died over the next five years.
The Great Andamanese once numbered more than 5,000 and were made up of 10 distinct groups each with their own language.
But today, after more than 150 years of contact with colonisers and the diseases they brought with them, the Great Andamanese number just 52.
The only indigenous tribe that is relatively intact is the Sentinelese, who ban any contact with outsiders.

That thing looks like an alien.

Anyways, I never said that s and lesbos couldn't get married or couldn't have gay sex. They can do whatever they want. I'm just not going to do anything in the fight for marriage equality because I don't care enough. If that makes me a the s of Earth, then guilty as charged.

And you can believe in evolution, creationish, both, or none of the above. I don't give a . You have a mind of your own and can think whatever you want.

The point is to keep creationism out of science class.

Some people no doubt remember I was a big creationist defender a few years ago. IMHO I was the only one halfway scientific and willing to debate about it (if you wanna call creationism 'science' by any stretch), sorry Mouse. But what's funny is I was going through this inner turmoil, confronted by the facts of evolution and my own beliefs, and just by chance I catch a Bill Nye rerun and there's that ape-to-man diagram flying through the intro and I think, "Man, I remember watching Bill Nye every day when I was a kid. He would never lie to me." So literally he was the catalyst that permanently changed my camp to that of actual science.
