It's a just a swing of the pendulum imo...they're improved and more talented on defense than in past years. Ratliff, Ware, Lee, Mo, and Carr are a great nucleus on D, imo.

On offense, they lost Robinson, Bennett (both good depth), Austin is perpeually banged up, Witten is injured, and Bryant can't stay out of trouble. Their o-line--like you said--is a joke. They've improved on one side of the ball, only to drop off on the other.

They'll still compete and lose games in comic fashion
Why does everyone keep talking about Bennett like he did here? Always had huge drops/played like a lazy sack and John Phillips proved to be way more serviceable. If he can return to the form he was in before he got hurt last year I don't really think losing Bennett is a big deal.

    Yeah

He was utter in most of his time in Dallas. Upside aside, the guy was wildly inconsistent.

Probably because the kid has a ton of god-given ability and the coaching couldn't get it out of him. He's one of the better blocking TE's in the game, and has playmaking ability too. He obviously shoulders a ton of the blame for his lack of production in Dallas, but coaching played a big part in it too. If he blows up in New York it's gonna be another dubious distinction for Big D.

That is a good point, not gonna lie...now I fully understand Cowboy fans' hatred of him

Yeah his whole time in Dallas I hated him, not because he sucked, but because it was clear as ing day he wasn't taking his career seriously.

Of course, if he's ever gonna turn it around and be an all-pro somewhere, it's gonna be for the New York ing Giants. Because the universe hates Jerry Jones.

Ton of potential, but a idiot. Never has grown up. Never worked hard. Signs with the Giants and shows up to camp at 290. Maybe a change in venue will do him good, but hes not a kid anymore.

^Yeah basically he's Boris Diaw but playing TE for the Giants.

Our team is younger this year TBH so we'll probably be in the race longer. You get me for 6 weeks or so this year.

The Redskins actually have an outside chance of being 5-1 in their first 6, and should be no worse than 4-2 at that point. After det, they're ed though...7-9 ceiling for the Skins

All he had to do was follow Witten's example, and he was too stupid to do even that. The best thing he did in Dallas was try to coin him and Witten as Beans and Rice tbh.

Yeah, I get that...but if he reaches his potential with NYG then the Cowboys coaches need to shoulder some of the blame. The "He just needed a change of scenery!" bs is a ing cop-out. If he continues to trip over his own and do nothing, then I'll agree with all the Bennett hate. If he blossoms with the Giants, then, well...

I started to type a response saying I would not blame the boys and give props to the Giants, then I thought about how they have handled Dez

Jason Witten is active. My God what courage. Brannon's probably beating off to his JW Fathead right now.
