Sounds like some people need a dictionary, and a better grasp of the English language.
Looking for goofballs... they didn't do very good. They left goofballs are so much funnier...
Sounds like some people need a dictionary, and a better grasp of the English language.
^except they actually said it. "government is the only thing we all belong to." the fact that you don't see a problem with it means that you probably need a lot more than an English dictionary, tbh.
Ask not what you can do for your country, ask what your country can do for you. God bless
I hope my country can give me lots of free stuff, or at the very least raise taxes on people I don't like just to make their life more difficult.
This is all very helpful. I mean, the right wing doesn't actually live out the "empowered citizen" ideal any more than the left does, but the concept that the government belongs to the people rather than the other way around is part of the right-wing Enlightenment-Social Contract-Founding Fathers mythology. That it is now a dog-whistle that the left can't hear is immensely powerful, especially since when the rubber hits the road the right-wingers will be the ultimate lapdogs of authoritarianism.
Why do we need/have a government anyway? Who needs one?
We need limited government and state power, not this bloated beaurocrasy.
Definitely stupid.
Just about all the moron-conservatives here completely missed the context and meaning of this statement.
They call Mitt Romney a successful businessman just for having money... never mind he has been saved out by favorable bankrupcty laws many times.
The reality of situations means little to these social darwinists. "Ask what you can do for your country" is way down on the list of priorities for the last majority of these fools.
This is just all superficial nonsense, typical of conservatives.
the government is broke and it owes another country (which's not even friendly to us) an astronomical figure of debt that it'll never redeem. america needs a revolution to overturn the current government and the huge debts are automatically gone, replacing it with a new government that belongs to the people.
government is the only thing we all belong to, and the only thing we all collectively own.
Pretty comprehensible and totally true.
OMG...
What serious dip s.
No wonder we have the government we have. Too many dip s who vote.
We tried damn near anarchy with the Articles of Confederation, and it resulted in chaos and inability to raise money.... a limited but powerful Cons utional government that serves the people is the way to go, tbh....
unless your a government employee you don't belong to the government. You're ruled by the government
