Serious question to those of you who have one. Can you dial a number with just one hand? Answer a call with only one hand?
There is a voice activation feature.

Yup, and there will be an option for one-hand operation when you text.

    OK thanks.

I don't mind the texting so much, but phone operations with just one hand is important imo and it looked borderline impossible.

Just tried mine. One handed works without a hitch. the screen is large enough to hit the keys right. Now maybe a child couldn't use it one handed.

I like the screen. It's 800 x 480 and plays Netflix real nice.

    -edit-

    Ooops...

Didn't note the difference... Came in the thread late, and though the question was about the galaxy II. Not the Note II.

Wc, one would think you of all people would know the screen resolution just by counting the individual pixels

I've got normal sized hands. Not much of a problem. There's a setting that will shift keys to the left or right side of the screen to help. I've never tried it tho. It is a stretch to hit the opposite side of the phone tho. I hold it in my left hand most times...the stretch to my browser (bottom right) is not easy. So yeah, there are times I'll use both of my mitts.

So Samsung released another new shiny product in IFA, aside from the Samsung Galaxy Note II

This is the Hipstagrammer's must-have device.

I don't see why anyone would buy a point and shoot these days, given how good cell cameras are.

The same kind of tools that integrate Instagram on a camera.

Optical zoom, night shooting. You're right in that I use my SII as my primary camera, but there ar the times where I wish I had a real camera to capture images that were father away or at night (e.g. when I was taking a pic of Statue of Liberty @ night on the Staten Island Ferry).

Nice, but my Galaxy is a larger phone than I want. The Note is just too large. Does the Note even fit in a standard shirt pocket?

What a silly assumption. I place my phone in my shirt pocket.

Maybe you didn't think of that since your blouses don't have pockets.
