He said he didn't tear anything
He said he didn't tear anything
Now we can call him a cry baby for crying, just kidding.
I would think and hope most A&M fans would give backlash to administration over this. I know when Texas claimed co-conference championship 'asterisk' even though OU won tie-breaker I was embarrassed when it went public.
It made USA Today front page today: http://content.usatoday.com/communit...1#.UEqRUiKLK7s
"In 1919, Harvard and Illinois were regarded as the national champions among the various rankings. However, the Aggies, who finished 10-0 that season, are making their claim based on the National Championship Foundation, which was formed in 1980 and voted on past champions. The group awarded A&M a share of the le in a three-way tie with Notre Dame and Harvard.
Seem silly? The same National Championship Foundation awarded four schools a national le in 1993 and five schools in 1991.
In 1927, the Aggies went 8-0-1, and Notre Dame and Pittsburgh were regarded as splitting the national championship. However, the Aggies were retroactively crowned No. 1 by a mathematical ranking system developed in 1935 that ran the results from the 1929 season."

Crap man, sorry I didn't think about that.. Yeah, it says he didn't tear anything, and then in other tweets he goes in about recovery...
This is, in all likelihood, Jason Cook's doing. He's our VP of Marketing. He's either a big hit or a huge miss (see SEC video we took down). He is very well known on TexAgs, and definitely not only for good things. As I've said, I personally do not care about this at all - SEC fans give Alabama for it all the time but at the end of the day it does not mean anything. All that matters is winning. If we win, and win consistently, nothing else matters.
No problem. Thanks for the info![]()
playing in SEC west, just being compe ive would say a lot. this year you've got to win at least 3 conf games and at least be close in a couple others - i would think that would be a respectable year and something to build on.
i think the logic of adding championships retroactively may sound foolish to some, but the idea is probably to reach the 15-17 year old recruit that doesn't know better so it sounds more compe ive with other programs. i can see the logic but i disagree.
The UT coaches were able to get out and see some high school games this week. Below is a list of prospects that each coach saw live:
Applewhite
OL, Caleb Benenoch, Katy Seven Lakes
2014 RB, Donald Catalon, Aldine Eisenhower
2015 RB, Rodney Anderson, Katy
Wyatt
WR, Ricky Seals-Jones, Sealy
2014 WR, KD Cannon, Mount Pleasant
Searels
OL/DL, Andrew Billings, Waco High
Akina
2014 CB/S, Edward Paris, Mansfield Timberview
2014 S, Jamal Adams, Carrollton Hebron
Texas' best recruiters on their most important targets. I like that. Need to add Billings and Benenoch to get the momentum rolling again.

Hookem 247 reporting that Demetrious Knox is at the New Mexico game tonight along with Daniel Gresham.
Any updates on LHN getting a 3rd game?
not sure that is a good thing, boring game for offense.
Sons this RB Gray doesn't look that good to me....getting 1-2 yards a carry. Doesn't look that fast or strong either

What's up with Malcolm Brown?
I was wondering about that, how many carries did he get?? 5 max??
Dalton Santos makes some nasty tackles.
Good win.
so went to UF-TAMU game and must say the stadium was shockingly quiet - in particular in 2nd half. lots of students sitting during the game, and notable that tons of fans were leaving before the game was even over. it got to critical 3rd downs for florida and was relatively quiet. hard to believe considering first SEC game, against florida, and the team played much better than i expected. must say with all the hype about 12th man and talking about stadium noise and such i was not impressed at all. i've been to several texas games there and was always louder. all florida fans said they were used to louder at road games.
funny the experience going in texas gear versus florida gear. as texas fan, people hiding out of sight would scream out racial slurs countless times before and during the game. in florida garb, people saying howdy and greeting me and talking about being in SEC. comical.
recognized torrodney prevet, chris hardeman and derrick griffin at the game. didn't see RSJ sitting by those guys so pretty sure he wasn't there.

I love what I've seen what Santos so far. Nahlin called him a scud missle on kick offs. I agree, but Santos is more accurate than a scud.
When you think about Daje being an 11th hour addition, an addition that Major stuck his neck out for, it scares the of you. Thank goodness he ended up at Texas. Electric. He told teammates he wants to hear the cannon every time he touches the ball. It's funny, but Daje actually believes it and can execute it. 3 touches against New Mexico, one score. He could be a difference maker against WVU and OU.
I hope the Texas staff learned with the late 2012 recruits. I don't see as many late bloomers this season, but Texas is wise to keep 3-5 offers in the quiver every fall.
Kendall Sanders had a nice catch. John Harris went up and caught one. McFarland had a much needed touchdown. What a shot in the arm for that young man. DJ Grant also flashed. Magic Mike and Shipley looked good. I think this receiving corps can get there late this season.
This is a recurring theme on TexAgs. The old timers are harping on the underclassmen for not making more noise at the games. Look TAMU's student demographic is changing. TAMU and Texas' students are starting to look a lot alike, suburban kids that are good students. I think we'll see a lot fewer painted overalls in TAMU's stands in the future.
I'm glad the Aggies lost, it'll certainly help Texas' recruiting, but I do feel sorry for them. They keep getting up for this huge games, base their existence on the outcome of the games, and then they get smacked down again. The Cubs - Aggie comparisons are apt. They'll always have vigorous fan bases, but they shouldn't get their hopes up. Both come for cultures that are based on tradition, not winning.
Update on WR Torii Hunter, Jr....he was not offered last night but 24/7 thinks things are moving forward. He says a return trip to Austin is a possibility.
