Florida fan write-up about his visit this weekend:

I heard about the chant but not the apology. Pretty damn classy of him. TBH it didn't bother me in the least bit what he said. It added some excitement for the game and made the talking heads think that Mizzou was going to come out and upset the Dawgs.
What's everyone's thoughts on this Old Miss UT game. I really didn't even know this was happening until yesterday. I haven't watched a UT game since last year and have no idea what's going on with that squad.
Also, thoughts on the Tenn/ Fla game? I think Tenn gets them this week.

the old one-two combo...kill em with kindness and then run em' over, eh?![]()
Unfortunately, I haven't seen either team play yet (Tenn/UF)... So I couldn't tell you. Guess I did see a bit of UF's first game, but not really enough to make a call. It's kinda like choosing sides in a fight between two fat kids you both hate
...Nor have I seen UTAustin or Old Mrs. Where is the game? I'd give the rebs a shot if it was in Oxford, mostly just to piss off the board horn fans![]()
Game is in Oxford. I think it will be a close game.
I think Tenn/Fla will be a good one as well. I think Tenn can squeak that game out though.
Sure hope the Rebs win. It would be a glorious, thermonuclear meltdown up in heeyuh
I think Tennessee beats Florida and finishes 3rd in the east.
Ole Miss should keep it close and has a shot at winning, but they could also play terrible and get destroyed by the horns D. Hope they pull it off though, the meltdown would be hilarious.
Doesn't the team usually enter from under the screen?
I haven't watches any Texas games this year, but I think Bo Wallace and his golden locks of destiny will make it a pretty solid game, tbh.
I think Ole Miss will be compe ive, but my gut says Texas will pull it out.
I see the Vols winning fairly easily at home.
Found these two articles quite informative.
This one about UGA's drug policy currently keeping two all-american's from playing the first four games

This one about Oregon's new super tough drug policy

Anyone want to explain this from Pac-12 perspective, since they're all high and mighty about their super clean programs?
Another big hit for LSU. 4 more players suspended. This time for academics.

That makes 9 of their players out so far this season.
Well, I don't feel so bad now. Mad Hatter is cracking down on that books learnin'.
High and mighty? Have you ever been to Oregon? Probably the best smoke out there of any state (tied with Cali probably...). It is undoubtedly hard to stay clean if you're playing for UO. At least they're being proactive as this is a situation that has plagued many a major program and it should be something looked into. I think the Honey Badger situation is making teams look harder on maintaining a sense of control over the players that is needed because college is such a partying time.
Well, the lower half of the SEC looked like crap yesterday. This looks like a 4 team race for the SEC, Bama, LSU, UGA and USC, maybe Florida.
I'm really surprised at how far Auburn has fallen. I don't get it, is Chizik that bad? They are beyond lucky with that hail mary before the half yesterday.
Florida made some good adjustments at halftime to put it on Tenn. Dooley is something like 4-17 in SEC play now, which means he's about to be done.
USC has some issues with injury at the QB position. Couldn't gather much more from that game yesterday.
Same with UGA. The offense looked unstoppable but it was FAU. Props to the two new freshmen runners, Gurley and Marshal. The defense was awful in the first half, but Jarvis Jones was held out of the game as a precaution with his groin strain and they played a ton of backups from the start. I guess they were trying to develop depth. I'm still waiting to see this defense at full strength, and that's two weeks away still.
LSU started super slow but got it together and blew out Idaho. Not much else to say about that.
Bama mopped the floor with a undermanned and poorly coach Arkansas team. I don't think I've ever seen a team fold and give up so much in an SEC game. Oh well, they deserve it for hiring that Booby Petrino.
Ole Miss's offense actually looked ok. I'm not sure if that was UT's secondary or Ole Miss's players. They took it on the chin from a much more talented Texas team. Maybe Ole Miss should look into playing defense from now on.
UK. I don't know what to say, start over maybe.
Mizzou looked ok, but they need Franklin back to have any chance at USC next weekend.
Miss St beat Troy. I'm not going to lie, I didn't even watch a highlight.
A&M and Vandy did what they were supposed to do and beat down weaker compe ion.
I don't know if there will be an undefeated SEC team this year. The good thing is I don't know if there will be any other undefeated teams this year, maybe FSU. I think the field is wide open this year and there should be some serious drama at the end of the season.
Yeah, Auburn isn't playing well, and you have to point at the coaching staff. There's plenty of talent there, it's just not being coached up/utilized properly
At this point, I think they need to just stick with Frazier and let him take his lumps. Hopefully he'll learn from this awful year and become a better player. The offensive line isn't bad and has one of the best positional coaches in the country. Otherwise, the rest of the team is a question mark and there may need to be changes at other positions in terms of coaching.
And of course the buck stops with Chizik. This team has no iden y and doesn't play with intensity. They're mistake prone and don't play like a cohesive unit on offense. Fundamentals are weak (tackling), NFL caliber weapons are underutilized (Blake & Lutz), and it's just a general mess.
I'm not advocating Cheezit getting fired...yet. But if there's not marked improvement as the season goes on, I think that may be something the University should consider
Alabama is too good. LSU wont beat them and nobody else has a chance. Georgia should make it to the SECCG and might give Bama its best shot but I just don't see them losing a game.
I watched Florida/Tennessee and OM play.
OM has some impressive weapons on offense. Moncrief and Wallace should develop into very good players and they have some decent RB's. Problem is in the trenches, where their lines were completely outclassed by UT
Florida continues to improve. Driskel finally looks like he may live up to the hype. As he goes, Fla will go. With a stout defense and Muschamp starting to look like a guy who can make good decisions/adjustments in-game, this team could be scary in the East.
Tennessee is obviously better, but still 4th best in the East. Dooley is done unless he beats Alabama or UGA, which just ain't gonna happen
Although Arkansas is indeed a farce, Bama is that damn good. Sometimes it's harder to show up with the same intensity week in and week out and the Tide have done exactly that. Whoever comes out of that LSU/Bama tilt undefeated won't lose and will roll into the NC game, imo
Florida was certainly impressive yesterday. OM doesn't play a lick of defense. Giving up 60+ to Texas is just horrible.
After Bama/LSU the west gets pretty interesting. I guess you'd put state at 3 right now but I'm pretty interested to see how the rest of the west shakes out and where A&M stands.
Good to see Florida improve and quite possibly be back to being that fearsome member from the SEC East that will challenge Alabama and LSU for SEC supremacy. I thought Tenn was going to be a returning challenger, but they look still a few years away from being an elite contender. Should be an awesome war between the Southern schools.
