The Jewenhaal's are ruining cinema.
pretty excited to see this one. although, I would have rather seen Nick Cage get the lead.

The Jewenhaal's are ruining cinema.
what?...no...I meant Cage instead of Michael Pena.
How's Cage any better than Brokeback man over there?
I didn't say that. I'm saying they should have paired Cage WITH Gyllenhaal. Drop Michael Pena.
Then you'd have 2 ty actors instead of 1 and a half.
I disagree. It'd be badass.
Cage always brings it![]()
This movie is AWESOME!
I haven't seen this but let me ask a question SA210...is "end of watch" referring to what peace officers write to close their daily activity report?
End of watch. End of shift, etc...?
Yes that's correct, it's pretty good, it's got action, funny scenes, and gets pretty serious too. I'm pretty sure I'll watch it once more soon.
Hopefully hollywood didn't strip the authenticity away...nothing irks me more than watching a movie about or dealing with cops and hollywood destroys the authenticity.
Like in the movie Diehard, when Bruce Willis is talking on the police radio...then he places the radio on the counter to take glass out of his feet...and continues the conversation without ever keying the radio mic. And he continues this long ass conversation back and forth and no one is pushing the button on the radio to transmit.
And movies in general when someone is using a police radio and suddenly-while he is transmitting- someone interupts them by screaming--you see the actor recoil from the screaming or a shot fired or an explosion. Complete bull .
If you are talking on the radio--no can can cut you off --you have to release the button and then the other person can transmit...otherwise you are just stepping on each other and cutting each other off.
Hollywood
Just saw this movie...very, very good. Kinda ed me up though...
Wasn't crazy about the do entary camera style and have never liked that actress that played Gylennhall's girl...but otherwise- good.
Gyllenhaal isn't too bad tbh, and Pena is good. Both better than Cage
It should be getting nominated.
It also came out on top at the box office with a pretty stacked weekend of releases.
When I read the plot line it seemed like it had the potential to either be a really really normal cop film but I'm glad to hear all the positive feedback - obviously is excellent. Have to wait until November 1 to see it
Saw it this weekend. GREAT movie. Well scripted... well acted. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I'll be seeing this one again.
Finally able to see this tonight - hope it lives up to the hype, I'd say it will
Just watched this. Fantastic movie. Was not expecting to care as much about the characters as I did. Pena was so awesome.
good call. the character development was bloody great. excellent film
Concur. Great flick. I don't typically even LIKE Pena in movies, but this one did such a good job of developing a connection w/ the audience.
Wow.
