When you say "reading this," to what are you referring? Is the "this" in question the post of johnsmith's that you've quoted? Or is it your own response?
In either case, my thought process never involves random and unnecessary tildes.
Mine involves all sorts of random phenomena.
For the record, I'm not on the banning bandwagon. I've never called for another poster's banning, though there have been several bannings that I have supported and/or would support, and I'm not going to start now. I remain fully of the opinion that annoying posters would just go away or at least get less annoying if we all stopped giving in to their cries for attention.
However, I will say that I have encountered few other posters whose presence seems to be so universally disruptive. Avante's pink month really did make a difference around here, not only because he couldn't start threads but also because it took away his most prolific shtick.

This. It's one thing if the pink month didn't do anything but it was VERY effective in 2 subforums. Maybe banning is a little extreme but pinking him isn't out of reach imo
That's another poster where, again, I'm not calling for a ban because I find it pretty easy to just avoid the threads in which he's involved, but I wouldn't be sad if he was given the ax. When a poster starts a thread specifically to bemoan the fact he's been banned and/or censored at dozens of other message boards, SpursTalk starts to look less permissive and more like suckers for keeping him around.

Avante in the other hands posts everywhere. That's my problem with him. You cant avoid him. I tried.

b/c you undo the few good takes and observations you have in there with the same spamming tactics you use in the club. Why not take a dump in the Political Forum or the NBA Forum instead, since they're already the equivalent to the Barbary Coast?
