Can't wait for the morning. I'm just hoping for good health on both sides of the ball. If Indy can stay healthy they have a pretty under rated team.

Vontae Davis vs Marshall is going to be fun.

that. Everyone on the Bears defense can get their ass injured for all I care. I just need Cutler to stay healthy for my fantasy team. Actually him too, I also have Luck on my team. I'm set.

My fault, I worded that incorrectly I guess. I meant I want the Colts to stay healthy on offense and defense. the Bears, although I need Forte for every game except tomorrow.

Luck has more yards than Peyton did after 1 game and the same TD:INT. I could have gone for more Colts defenders trying to intentionally injure Bears players, bounty style, but probably too soon for that. Well, now I'm going to get really drunk and see if I can drive around town without getting a DUI.

My statement was true for Bears fans. Marshall destroyed Indy.

Btw Luck looked like . It's going to be a long year for him with that offense.

Donald Brown ing sucks, and the offensive line is horrid. The only player who played well on O was Wayne....

Bears are still massively butthurt that the Colts beat them they started Rex Grossman in Super Bowl 41. And where the was this Tim Jennings when he played for Indy? Seriously dude was always ten yards off his man and couldn't tackle and now he's a stud with the Bears and picked Luck twice today? Way to be a major got.

At least the next three games are at home. Hopefully Aaron Rodgers gets hurt before week 5 and we can upset the Packers.

Well, Luck did alright in Week 1 considering the piece of offensive line he plays behind and the non-threat of a running game the Colts have. The Colts seriously need to consider passing out of run formations and actually handing off on play action, this sort of bull trickery might actually work for them. Donald Brown averages 4.5+ YPC but is a terrible ing player, does not compute.

To counter this problem the Colts have signed some scro named Trai Essex who played with Pittsburgh under Bruce Arians. He's likely to be better than most of their offensive linemen by virtue of the simple fact that he was not drafted by that got Bill Polian who seemingly busted every single pick he made after Peyton Manning won the Super Bowl. Should be an upgrade. Colts should beat the Vikings at home this week. If not they should just go full re and tank 2012 so they can trade the Matt Barkley draft pick for as many picks as possible and get this rebuild business off the ground.

With Jacksonville coming to town next weekend, do the Colts have a shot at matching their 2011 win total by Week 3? If we're comparing Luck and Manning as rookies, Luck only needs 4 wins for a better rookie season. Peyton threw a TON of picks and he threw most of them early, if Luck can settle down and keep turnovers to a minimum, he's on pace to shatter every statistic of Manning's 1998 season.

Luck and Peyton both 1-1 after two weeks with the same TD:INT ratio, only Peyton's a 14 year vet so his picks are worth more. And Luck's entire contract is worth less than what the Colts would have had to pay Manning for 2012 #winning

It's been a while. The Great J-Teezy has been busy with two jobs, finishing off the business end of the terms of my DWI conviction and dating a 19 year old (don't judge me, I need this right now). But I have still managed to set my fantasy roster (Sup Lincoln?) and watch the games each week. It's midseason review time. Let's get the articles of statistical relevance out of the way first.

    GOAT Tracker (thru 8 games)
    Manning '98 161-292 (55.1%), 1873 yds, 11 TD 16 INT | 1-7 Record
    Luck '12 190-336 (56.5%), 2404 yds, 10 TD 8 INT | 5-3 Record
Ridiculous. I've been high on Luck since the Colts secured the No. 1 pick at the end of last season, but even I didn't expect this. You do have to keep in mind the Colts have the unfortunate but emotional/motivating cir stance of playing for a head coach who has cancer. Don't be fooled though, they're winning games because Luck is a hoss. The silver linings for the Colts so far is that apart from Week 1, they have not once fielded their 11 true starters on defense and Luck has produced those stats at the midway point with virtually no contribution from 2nd round pick Coby Fleener. This is the Colts remaining schedule:

    Week 10: at Jaguars (Thursday)
    Week 11: at Patriots
    Week 12: vs Bills
    Week 13: at Lions
    Week 14: vs ans
    Week 15: at Texans
    Week 16: at Chiefs
    Week 17: vs Texans

It's extremely possible that if the upward trend of Luck's development continues, the Colts could only lose to the Patriots in Week 11 and the Texans in Week 15. I know the Colts have played poorly on the road and it's premature to start slotting them for guaranteed road victories, but what Andrew Luck is doing is insane. Lots of people figured 5-11 for Indy would be a solid year. How crazy is it that if the chips all land in the right place, they could flip that around and finish 11-5? Keep in mind the Colts straight gave away that Week 3 loss to Jacksonville. This team should be 6-2 right now. And to play a card I have no shame in playing, if the Annual Houston Texans Mass Injury Disease strikes again, those Week 15 & 17 contests could be for the division crown. Think about that for a second.

As bad as it was to be a Colts fan last year, I almost feel like I was willing to put up for with that for how bright the future is. Being a fan, I totally feel like we're playing with house money right now. After this season, all of the 2011 dead money comes off the books. Any stud FA is likely ours, and Ryan Grigson is likely to follow up his offense-heavy 2012 draft with a defense-heavy 2013 draft (save for maybe blowing the No.1 on an offensive lineman, something I'd probably do if I was in his seat). Speaking of Grigson, that guy has to be the runaway Exec. of the Year winner right now. If Indy clinches a playoff spot, he should win it unanimously. I know drafting Luck is a no-brainer move, but Dwayne Allen and Vick Ballard have been solid and the guy yanked Jerrell Freeman out of the CFL and he's started at LB for the Colts all year. Also leads either the league or the team in tackles right now, can't be bothered to check. If the Colts can get Josh Chapman back and he can produce anything on the defensive line, it will be another egg in Grigson's Executive of the Year basket. Chapman currently is on the non-football injury list and has two weeks to get promoted to the active roster or he's stuck there for all of 2012.

Luck needs one more 300 yard game and he takes down Peyton's 1998 record of most 300 yard games by a rookie QB. If he simply doubles his current stats in the second half of the season, he'll break Newton's rookie QB yardage record by about 750 yards. If he steps up his game even more, we could be talking about a rookie QB throwing for 5,000 yards. What the ? Another thing I should touch on is the hire of Bruce Arians as offensive coordinator in the offseason. I think without him, Luck doesn't progress this quickly. Quality move picking up the guy who trained both Peyton and Big Ben. His playcalling has been spotty at times but yesterday he called a fantastic game and he's 4-1 since taking over, can't really complain about that. He's going to need to go into Jacksonville on Thursday and coach an "Eff You" game though, Blaine Gabbert should be throwing 80 yard TD passes against absolutely no one and it's time to make the Glitter Kittens pay for that.

Luck is the most complete QB I've ever seen. Height, arm strength, decision-making, mobility, accuracy, poise. He can do it all. No one expected the Colts to be 5-3. Everyone said RG3 has a better team around him. Not saying Luck is the sole reason why, but he's a big reason and making all the doubters look foolish.

Before the season, I said the Colts win loss window was between 7-9 and 9-7 depending on a few swing games going their way. Indianapolis currently sits at 7-4 with five to play. Here's their remaining schedule:

    Week 13: at Lions
    Week 14: vs ans
    Week 15: at Texans
    Week 16: at Chiefs
    Week 17: vs Texans

They've got an excellent shot at finishing 10-6 and being the NFL's WTF story of the year, if they aren't already. If they take care of business against the Lions this week, which is a tall order since it's a road game and they play catastrophically worse on the road, they'll probably reach double digit wins. There's an outside shot that they can win out though, or finish at 11-5. Houston currently has a two game lead over all other AFC division leaders by virtue of record and head-to-head tiebreakers. They play the Patriots in Week 14, and with a win would have a tiebreaker and virtual three game lead over everyone in the conference with three to play. The Texans, until this year, almost routinely had major players on the injury report late in the season and you've got to think they might try to play it safe after clinching. I still think they'll play to win in Week 15, but by that last Week 17 game in Indianapolis, I think we'll see the 1's play a series and then go to the bench. The Colts have an excellent shot at keeping Houston winless in Indy if that happens, and with Super Bowl aspirations I think the Texans will wait to attempt to break that streak in 2013.

It's amazing what this team has done this year. While a sad story, Pagano getting diagnosed with leukemia is the best thing that could have happened to the Colts this year. The tape and the stats clearly don't show a winning team, but yet something else seems to drive this team to win every week. Even if they clinch a wild card spot, they'll have to go on the road and will probably be one and done but brace yourself for this possible scenario:

If Indy clinches a WC, Luck's first playoff game could very well be against Peyton and the Broncos. That's basically my realistic fantasy end to our season.

My homer end to the season is make playoffs as the #5, W at Broncos, W at Patriots, W at Texans, W Super Bowl XLVII vs Giants. Luck greatest QB of all time after one season.
