100 points from your bench
DD, did you get anybody to make a trade with you?
er has Amendola annnnnd Brent Celek on his bench... Not fair
100 points from your bench
DD, did you get anybody to make a trade with you?
Nah, thank god
Matt Schaub got me 9 ing points. Kept Stafford on the bench b/c of opponent, which was a dumb move. You always take the better QB, regardless of opponent.
Yah man, you gotta go with your horses, no matter the match up
I got 5 points from my QB so stop crying about that sand in your vagina
About as nerdy as some turd git with 13k+ posts on a message board
I was already winning going into the SF game but thank you Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree for locking that up for me (also Randy Moss for being the decoy I thought he'd be when I didn't draft him). Now any points Michael Turner gets me tomorrow is just stat padding. 1-1, just like my Colts and Cutler's 5 point outing didn't me in the ass like I thought it would.
My fantasy team should be averaging 150 pts a game...but, instead I'll be 1-1 with 132 pts this last week. Good call DD on the Spiller Express--sat Dwayne Bowe and I'd be up near 155 but I'm ecstatic that all 3 of my QBs put up good solid games with Phillip Rivers giving me the most of the points (should have had 34, but I'll take it...) I'm beginning to think my team is going to make the money rounds at the very least...
Thank you Vernon Davis and shame on you Gostkowski!!!
I am getting scoffed in my league for offering Forte for Michael Bush/RGIII. Am I wrong in thinking that even with that injury it's a fair trade?
Keep in mind, this is a 10 team league where RB's are more valuable. Out of the 10 teams, 7 of them have QB's already that are clearly better (Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Stafford) or where getting RGIII would be a marginal upgrade based on talent/league scoring (Eli, Matt Ryan, Peyton, Vick). The guy with RGIII has Cam Newton ahead of him so he can't bench Cam and he's getting 0 points or value from RGIII because he's on the bench.
His starting RB's are Charles and Sproles in a non-PPR league. I know Forte is out, but he would be their #1RB and they are giving up a guy that is a bench player for them. Forte isnt out all that long either from what most reports seem to think.
what is wrong with gostkowski? He scored 17 pts yesterday. (in a standard scoring league)
I wouldn't do it. It is not that he should trade you because he is getting no benefit from RGIII. He is holding on because he can get more outta someone else for RGIII. I would make fun of you too if I were in your league. He is smart not to panic. Someone will get injured then RGIII becomes worth far more than an injured forte.
18 in my league--he missed the GW field goal and would've given me some more points. I am only being sarcastic in that I had a good day leading the league in scoring though I'm still fine-tuning how I want to run my team...
yeah, me too, the only guy on my team that didn't hit was jimmy grahm. He missed his projected by about 2 points (oh and philly d wasn't very good). Despite all of that, I scored 155 in a non-ppr league. Yeah, I am pretty happy.
That logic is so bad to me. It's about what the market says for a QB in our league. It's not common that there are a lot of injuries to top QB's. Most of the teams (as I have listed) have QB's that are better or equal to RGIII - so why would they give up anything of value (like a top RB) to get him? Also, since it's a 10 team league, everyone has very capable back ups in the event of injury (guys like Alex Smith, Luck, Schaub, Flacco...)
Also, again, taking that out of the equation, how many RB's are better than Forte that you think you could get for RGIII??? Forte is by all accounts a top 10 RB: Foster, MJD, McCoy, Rice, AP are off the table by all accounts. McFadden, Matthews, Murray, Steven Jackson and maybe a Chris Johnson/Gore/Lynch are RB's you can put in the same class as Forte. So if you are looking for a RB under these conditions, who could you reasonable expect that is better than Forte?
So when you start to factor all I have said, I don't see how it's bad at all if you are looking for a stud RB in return for RGIII. It's not like Forte tore up his knee. He's out for a couple weeks with an ankle. Also I have McFadden & Ryan Matthews and they aren't on the table for RGIII. So that really limits the market for RB's.
I guess he could wait for an injury, but at that point, he's just wasting away a guy on his bench vs trading for a RB he will start every week as his best player at the position. From a value perspective, even as a top 8 QB I don't see how RGIII is more valuable than a Forte.
The uncertainty surrounding Forte is definitely cause for concern--even if it's just minor. Also, Bush poaches goal line carries from Forte--so if he's not in a PPR league, why would he give up a skyrocketing stock like RG3 when his value will only appreciate with time (in all likelihood). RG3 had 82 yds and 2 tds rushing yesterday--he's half RB-half-qb
Drachen's right, Deep--he's going to hold out for something better (and less risky), imo
Well, I just explained the logic (at least how I see it and the reality of the situation in my league). Maybe I just see things differently.
As of 1 week ago, he put RGIII on the block and has received all of 0 offers as I anticipated.
Even boiled down, I don't see how if you are looking for a RB, that Forte is not a top option. If it's just because of the injury, that is a gross over-reaction because it doesn't appear to be that bad and all RB's have injury issues pretty much. RB's that you could def argue over Forte: Foster, McCoy, Rice, MJD, AP. Other than that it's that other group of 7 RB's and Forte is in there to round out the top 10-12 RBs.
If passing tds are worth 4 in your league then that definitely doesn't help either--since both his qbs are dual threats. It makes them extremely valuable
It's not really that uncertain IMO. The reports are out - it's a high ankle sprain, 2-6 weeks, but we all saw him trying to cut and get back into the game (just couldn't go). If it was that bad, he would look like Hernandez (on crutches and not able to walk).
Even with Bush poaching goal line carries (for example, best case scenario for Bush where he had 2 TD's) Forte still was the number 9 RB in all of fantasy and outscored Bush by 33% in my league. While it does not help Forte, it doesn't change the fact he is a top 10 RB in any league by all accounts IMO.
RGIII's value is irrelevant IMO. I explained why. Even if he ends up being a top 6 QB, it's only a 10 team league. The teams with Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Stafford, Cam just will not trade for him because it's not an upgrade. The other teams with Matt Ryan, Peyton, Vick & Eli have to ask is the marginal upgrade worth significantly losing a RB better than Forte (there is only maybe 9 or so better). The reality of the league says he will get no offers for a top 10 RB better than Forte.
It definitely helps because he only starts 1 QB. Doesn't matter how good an asset is if everyone already has that asset (which in our league, everyone with the exception of 2-3 teams has a QB that's better or close enough to RGIII that giving up a top 10 RB isn't smart).
Yeah, I would've had 154 this week with Bowe in instead of Fitz...I am still holding out hope the Cards will get it to Larry a few times or I will have to probably sit Antonio Brown for Dwayne Bowe. last week was another week that I dropped the ball as I had Spiller starting at flex but switched him at the last moment. Oh well, that's why it is Fantasy Football and whatnot.
