Latest with JUCO DE Randy Gregory after breaking his fibula in practice (24/7):
“It actually happened in practice,” explained Gregory. “We were practicing and next thing I know, I broke my fibula. I’m out for the season. I don’t expect to play at all anymore this year. I hate it, but there’s nothing I can do, you know?”
“Obviously he (Giles) can’t come see me play now, which I hate even worse than being injured,” Gregory said. “But luckily they are going to continue to recruit me. They have a lot of film of mine from last season and the first game or two of this season. So they can review that and we can go from there. They actually told my coaches that they still will continue to recruit me, so that’s big for me. I really appreciate that they will keep on, because most schools wouldn’t. That says a lot about them.”
“I’ll wait to see what Coach Giles tells me first. If they’re serious about recruiting me and an offer might come, then I’ll definitely take a visit, for sure,” said Gregory. “If not, then I really don’t know. I’m going to play it by ear and see. I really hope to though.”
“I have offers from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa St, Indiana and others, but I’m sticking with Purdue right now,” Gregory told Hookem.com. “I will take some other visits, probably to Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri for sure, but I’m still solid with Purdue.”
“It would give me a lot to think about (if Texas offered),” he said. “There’s no denying that. Texas is a great school with a lot going on for it. You would be crazy to not want to be a part of that.”
