just explains why the academy award has been so badly discredited these years, pretty much like the academic college degrees imho. guys who end up winning it are never the ones who most people think deserve to win.
would rather go after vocational degrees instead tbh
I rarely take Oscars as indication of the best film or best anything. Sure they get it right sometimes but christ some of the best films have been snubbed.
E.G. Pulp Fiction just to name one of a myriad of examples
IMHO, PSH should have an Oscar in the bag for this too.
He will for sure get nominated for supporting actor, but I highly doubt he will win for two reasons ....
1. He has already won an Oscar and the Academy rarely gives out more than one to actors under 50 years old.
But most importantly..
2. Leo DiCaprio is going to finally get his with Django Unchained
Django will be sooooo good.
The clip with Joaquin and the Rorschach test is enough for 10 Oscars. Cannot wait to see this .

academys is probably more focused in the acting, then how much a movie grosses....then again they suck

I liked the movie, but I wanted to love it. Somewhat of a disappointment there.
I saw it in 70mm last night. It was great but that's not as immediately apparent as something like TWBB. Phoenix was in unbelievable.
Just saw it and not quite sure what to think of it.
Both theaters near me decide to stop screening it tomorrow, when I planned on watching it. the Del Amo AMC and Galleria.
