This is pretty much the truth right here.

The QB position gets the most credit for wins and the most blame for losses. It's not really fair, but it's how it is. The guy touches the ball on every offensive play, and if his team's defense is getting throttled then he has to match the other offense's production.

Lot's of QBs make the HOF on stats alone. Marino did not win the Super Bowl and is considered an all-time great. But the legendary QBs dominated in the Super Bowl at least once, most of them twice or more. This is why a guy like Peyton Manning, who has the stats to match Marino and Favre, wins the Super Bowl and isn't considered good enough because "Brady has three" or "Eli/Ben have two."

We are simply judging black QBs by the same criteria when you break it down, it's just that black QBs are historically not good at even getting to the Super Bowl, let alone winning it multiple times. This is the truth and anyone debating otherwise is clearly an apologist for black athletes. Blacks dominate the record books at most NFL skill positions, almost the entire NBA and even have some baseball heroes. It's not that we don't think they can be elite athletes, it's just that so far nothing shows they can be elite quarterbacks. And elite is a word that gets abused the out of in today's sports fan universe. It means you are the best of the best of the best. Not just a No. 1 overall draft pick or a fantasy football darling. You gotta get to the playoffs, dominate them, get to the Super Bowl and dominate even harder there. Not an easy thing to do, black or white.

Let's say Eagles makes the playoff and the rest of the other teams have white qbs, if Vick gets taken out, there goes that whole year for a black quarterback to win the superbowl. If even 2 white quarterbacks from the playoffs gets taken out, that still leaves about 8 teams with white qb's to win the superbowl.

Didn't say a SB ring is required to be considered good. It is required to be considered elite, and this day and age you need multiple since guys like Brady, Roethlisberger and Eli Manning have multiples and are still active. If you have mad stats and record breaking performances to back it up (Peyton, Brees) you can also be considered elite with just one. But bottom line is the ring is king.

It's still backwards logic that people say, "Well we haven't had very many black QBs during the superbowl era!" as if that's a positive for black QBs. The reason we haven't had very many black QBs during the SB era is because black QBs suck.
