Agreed.
The NBA is close to finalizing a flopping policy.
Flopping has long been a criticized aspect of the game, especially over the past decade.
Flops will not have an in-game penalty, but will be reviewed after the face with a possible fine.

No in-game penalty? Wtf. Just call technicals as the penalty, don't even care about the fines since flopping might have already decided the outcome of the match.
Agreed.
You can't penalize flopping in game because many times you need a replay to notice true flops. What may look like a flop could be legit, and vice versa. To review all potential flops would take too much time. Player ing would increase exponentially too.
But a fine is still way way way too weak a penalty. Potential flops should ve reviewed by the league and penalized with either a technical foul after the game, or some kind of point system where a certain number of flops ac ulated gets you a suspension.
Kirilenko might as well stay in Europe too.
At least he got to have a full career....Harden is gonna be so mad.

The bad flops should be called for technicals. Right now there is no call when a player badly flops.
I agree but the problem is the refs. They do a ty enough job as it is, do you really want this task put on them too?
What if a really bad flop happens and it's missed? Then that team loses by a point and suddenly everyone's ing. What if they call a flop and replay shows he was pushed in the back? More ing.
I'd love in-game punishment for flopping, but it would create more chaos than good. Plus it would give corrupt officials even more opportunities to influence the outcome of games.
Although the look on Chris Paul's face after getting called for a flop would be incredible to see![]()
It's actually going to be a joint retirement ceremony with Pau Gasol, tbh...![]()
Flop So Harden's career just got ethered, tbh...
says the guy who is rooting for Chris Paul and Blake Griffin
And you're rooting for Pau Gasol and Food Stamps Bryant
Hey, I'm rooting for a 5x and 2x champion respectively. You're rooting for guys whose careers are going to be forever altered by the new flopping rules.![]()
I'm not rooting for Flop So Harden and D-Whistle, tbh....
When are they establishing policy on ref ups? ing Nazi commish won't even allow comments...
that's such a sweet comment for a Jewish commissioner![]()
Flopping (at least the bad ones) treatment should be
1.Immediate technical
2.Ref swallowing their whistles the next time you actually get fouled
3.Fine after the game
We also need the play challenge system bad. Maybe 2 a game per team. Can challenge the split-second decision fouls (charge/block, goaltending, flops)
You have challenges in the last two minutes of the game. I think that's enough for now. It took years for flopping rules to develop, I'm sure it will be the same for your proposal.
