You guys without the Longhorns skin (the logo below my avatar) need to get it. This thread needs more burnt orange.
texas opens as -6.5 favorite versus west virginia. really???
What were you expecting?
not to be favorites, for starters
this linebacking core sucks sooooooooooo bad
if they were at least playing at a decent level, this defense will look 1000x better.
the good thing is, the game against OU should be a lock. Landry Jones is a statue, and running QBs are what give the UT Linebackers trouble.
Quote from WR Devon Allen on why he will not be officially visiting UT (OrangeBloods):
"Just loss of interest on Texas' part," Allen said when asked the reason for cancelling the trip. "They said they are looking for a different kind of receiver."

I already though WVU was going to beat us before this weekend. Seeing Geno Smith put up video game numbers, while later watching Okie St torch our D the entire game did not provide any boost of confidence for me. If you told me to guess who was a 6.5 point favorite in Vegas I would have guessed it was WVU. This game is going to be a shootout and I just gotta give the edge to Geno Smith in that case.
Update on ATH Chevoski Collins (24/7):
“October the 8th (when he’s announcing his decision).” Collins said Friday. “It’s out of Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU and Baylor.”
“I know where I’m going fully, but I’m going to wait to let everyone know,” he said.
“Me and Coach Bo Davis, Coach (Duane) Akina, Coach (Darrell) Wyatt and Coach Mack Brown talk every week. We have a good relationship,” he said.

Big XII just announced that Texas/OU will be an 11 a.m. kickoff.
Per 24/7, OT Simo Kulmaviita of Chabot CC in Hawyard, CA is another JUCO prospect UT may pursue depending on what happens with OL/DL Andrew Billings. He's originally from Finland and is currently committed to Baylor.

AGREED... Shouldn be that hard to persuade him from Texas Tech.
We should have Jordan Hicks and Brandon Moore back for West Virginia. That'll make a difference hopefully.
Alabama loses WR DeAndrew White for the year:

Brandon Moore should be back because he just had a virus. With Hicks, who knows, guy is always injured.
Texas comes in at #9 in the coaches' poll. West Virginia at #7:

Interesting depth chart updates for West Virginia:
-Brown and Bergeron listed as co-starters even though Brown is wearing a boot today due to his ankle injury
-Phillips, M. Thompson and Turner listed as co-starters at SS
-Fera not listed on the depth chart at all
