Son I've been preaching that all along yet most Hornets fans on other boards (not worth mentioning) turned the other cheek to the facts. All you have to do is look at Eric Gordon's history to see that he is a liar, injury prone, and has never been worth the hype and money that he thinks he is. Look up the cowardly way he handled his college situation by lying and you'll see he has always had a sense of en lement thru the roof. The dude put up 20ppg ONE SEASON while playing on a ty team and only playing in 56 games (before that he put up no higher than 16ppg) and ever since then hasn't been able to take a without hurting himself.

Definitely. I'm not giving this dude the benefit the doubt. He better put up or shut up.

Tbh Demps made a mistake paying him large money. Should have saved that for Unibrow.

Also, regarding that CP3 trade... Gordon = injured. Aminu = Kaman = in Dallas

    Austin Rivers as well.

By the time Davis is a FA, Gordon's contract will have expired.

Plus, I'm glad Kaman is gone. He's terrible. One of the worst players in the league. He was a nice expiring contract that gave them some cap space to sign Ryan Anderson, Gordon and take on Rashard Lewis's expiring contract.

Fair enough... though if you ask me only Davis deserves the max. Rivers doesn't, but he could get big money if he pans out as a reliable scorer.

They're expecting Rivers to play PG long-term next to Gordon. He won't start this season, but instead be a 6th man type off the bench. I don't like Rivers all that much, but they needed a PG or a SF at that pick and no good SFs available.

Even with his contract, he is still a tradable player. Look at what Denver did with Nene - sometimes you sign guys to have trade assets. Could be similar. I actually think he is damn talented and they could have a solid core with him there (if healthy).

Or what Pop and RC did with RJ, or what it seems Ainge is doing with Jeff Green...

I agree. It would have been a waste to let him go to Phoenix for nothing. They have plenty of cap room to keep him, especially after this season.

New Orleans Hornets guard Eric Gordon not likely to practice again this week

The New Orleans Hornets will continue to be cautious before putting shooting guard Eric Gordon back on the floor in the weeks preceding the Oct. 31 regular-season opener against the San Antonio Spurs.

MICHAEL DeMOCKER / THE TIMES-PICAYUNE Hornets guard Eric Gordon addresses the student body in the gym at Langston Hughes Elementary School during an assembly to promote good reading and and study habits on Thursday, September 20.Michael DeMocker / NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune

Gordon did not participate in any contact work during the first week of training camp, and Coach Monty Williams said Monday it's unlikely Gordon will see the floor much this week as well. The Hornets play three exhibition games in four days this week, beginning Tuesday night when New Orleans' hosts the Charlotte Bobcats in New Orleans Arena.

Gordon has missed practices with a sore right knee, the same knee that was arthroscopically repaired Feb. 14, an injury that caused Gordon to miss all but nine of the team's 66 games last season.

"We're going to limit him still," Williams said Monday. "I think we'll know more about Eric next week when we start to ramp him up a little bit on the floor. He's been involved in our walk-throughs. He's participated in a lot of our exercises. But I think we're erring on the side of caution right now."

Williams would not go as far as to say Gordon would see any contact work next week as the Hornets have only one game scheduled, Oct. 18 at Atlanta, and six practices on the calendar.

"I'd hate to say it and it not happen," Williams said. "Ideally, yeah, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen. I would say week after next would be a time when we'd probably get him out there and see what he can do a little bit."

I've been saying it all along about this wimp! most Hornets fans on other boards (not worth mentioning) bashed me for talking bad about him aka speaking the truth and claimed idiotic things like Gordon was going to be the next big star to break out ... and now you look at those same posters today and they have completely flip flopped their opinions and are saying things I said about Gordon a year ago.

all you have to do is look at this pricks history to see he is a classless, injury prone, overrated wimp. it started in his college days by the way he handled the Illinois/Indiana situation.
