Yup...Jason Garrett is a ty ing coach, Wade did his best when he was here but ultimately he disagreed with Jerry too much, which got him axed. Now we have this pathetic squad of yes men running around(minus Rob Ryan) not holding anyone accountable and worrying more about making Jerry happy than playing good football.

Bad times.

Romo doesn't have the temperament or the leadership ability to overcome the f'd up culture and managerial issues they have in Dallas. He's capable of being a vocal leader, but it's not really who he is. It's not in his comfort zone. But that's not news to anyone; Romo has always been that way. The way to offset that is to bring in a coach with a strong personality who will light a fire under the players (offense) and hold them accountable. The Cowboys didn't have a strong, vocal leader on defense, so Jerry brought in Rob Ryan and he completely changed the culture of the defense. Jerry was probably ok with doing that because he can still tinker with the offense and he knows Garrett is his .

Romo has the talent to take the Cowboys to the SB, but he needs the right coach. Parcells was that guy. But Jerry didn't want someone who disagreed with him about how to build and run the offense.

I have been a lifelong Cowboy fan and will never support another NFL team ..... I ask, is anyone surprised? I never post in any of the Cowboy threads because right now this organization is mediocre.. their record says who they are... I am no longer disillusioned rather I have accepted on what they have become. Call it apathy ... I no longer hold high hopes for the Cowboys year in and year out.. my only hope is they are in playoff contention at the end of season so at least the remaining games matter.. within the next 4 weeks the boys will be 2-5 and out of the playoff picture..although you could legitimately ask if they ever were in the playoff picture..

The Cowboys have been the exact same team since they choked against the Giants in 2007.
