PM me if you have any games you might not be able to make man. I'll gladly buy the tickets off of you. I can do anything on a weekend or close to it. You in the same seats?

BTW, when does Spurs training camp start?
By looking at other teams, it should be media day on October 1st with the training camp really starting on the 2nd. Has there bee some kind of press release confirming that?

I wanted to get the opinion of Mel_13, or any of the season ticket holders. I am only able to attend some of the games, as my schedule shifts, and have to say I've gotten a much better price with stubhub than with Ticketmasters or the box office. Can you share with me any of the advantages you see in buying season tickets once I can attend more frequently. I'm all for supporting my team, but the price difference is sometimes drastic. For instance my pre-season tickets are on the floor and cost about half what I've seen from the Spurs website.

Same seats. I'll PM you closer to opening night once I have a better idea of the family schedule.

I haven't seen or heard anything.

Media day was on a Monday in 2009 and 2010, so that points to October 1st. OTOH, the first preseason game was at least 8 days after media day in both of those seasons. With an open scrimmage on the 3rd and the first game on the 6th, I believe that media day will be Friday, September 28th and that training camp will start on the 29th.

I wanted to get the opinion of Mel_13, or any of the season ticket holders. I am only able to attend some of the games, as my schedule shifts, and have to say I've gotten a much better price with stubhub than with Ticketmasters or the box office. If you can only attend a handful of games and want the best bang for your buck, then using for Stubhub for games that don't figure to sellout is definitely your best bet. I have upper level season tickets and I use Stubhub to get lower level seats for a few games every season. I'm always able to get tickets for less than half of face value. Of course, those are games against the Bobcats or the Pistons, not the Lakers or the Heat.

Once you're in position to attend many more games each year, then season tickets can make a lot of sense. This is my 9th year as a season ticket holder and I have found them to be a tremendous value, financially and otherwise.

Since your focus was on price here are a few of the cost benefits:

    1. Tickets priced at a discount to face value. (varies according to ticket price)

    2. Parking passes available at a discount.

    3. Ability to purchase additional individual game tickets before the presale date in the OP. Tickets are available for season ticket prices with no Ticketmaster fees.

    4. Guaranteed opportunity to purchase playoff tickets. This benefit has gotten better in recent seasons. At one time, you had to prepay for all 16 possible playoff games in order to keep your seats. Also, while the ticket price was at a discount to face value, the price went up with each round of the playoffs. You would have to request a refund for unused tickets after the playoffs ended. Now they have a "pay as we go" system. You give them a credit card # and you are then only charged for games actually played after each round of the playoffs. Even better, for the last two seasons, prices were frozen at regular season prices for the first three rounds of the playoffs.

    5. There are more, but those are the ones I value most. Feel free to PM me if you want more info.

Per Parker through his radio show, Spurs first training camp practice will be next Monday. There will have first physical tests done the Sunday. Some Spurs players will too start practicing today at Spurs facility.

There will only be one presale. Whether you use the link in the OP or one you may receive via e-mail, you'll wind up in the same place. If you use the link in the OP, use the TONY password. If use a link provided in an e-mail, use the password that they provide.

For anyone interested in the Laker game, I would suggest that you check the prices on Stubhub before buying from the Spurs. Tickets to the Laker game will be offered at much higher prices than every other regular season game.

I used a link in the OP to buy tickets for my first Spurs road trip. I got some great seats to see the Spurs play in Philadelphia. Curiously, the seats were less than half the price of similar seats at the AT&T center.

I'm currently enrolled in college and live about 2 1/2 hours away from SA but it's my tradition to attend at least 3 games every season. I just scored some tickets to the Spurs-Rockets game on December 28th... Can't wait! Go Spurs Go!
