Both teams played hard.
I don't get too worked up over 5 weeks in a season.
The Niners tore the Bills a new asshole. The reason being the Niners are a quality team while the Bills are one of the weaklings in the league. They are....3-10 in their last 13. When was the last time they beat a good team on the road?
The Niners have three big games coming up, they will probably lose one of them. Then after their bye week probably knock out 5 wins, hard to beat the Pats in NE. So we are looking at 12-4, 13-3.
Very realistic to see them in that upper ecelon...Texans, Pats, Falcons, Giants, Niners, Packers.
No I'm not going to brag on Alex Smith, I could have moved the ball on that ty defense.

Niners are legit. I think they're the best in the NFC right now, but I would take the Texans ahead of them. Maybe the Pats too at this point.
They don't have a weakness. Great special teams, a lot of play makers, dominate defense. Great coaching. Total package.
Its true. They have a Super Bowl team. Question is will Smith get them there. I still like Houston better because they are better offensively overall. Not quite good defensively as the Niners, but still very good.

That's true. I don't see him winning the big one. They have a Super Bowl team around him. Maybe the same case with Schaub as well, but I think he's better than Smith.
Alex Smith is playing great, I don't see him being a negative at all. I think the Niners can beat any team in the league at home, they are that solid.

He hasn't faced a legit defense yet either. Actually, they've only beaten average to bad teams at this point.
Schaub's problem has been health, not talent. He led the NFL in passing yds a couple years ago. He can actually win you a game (I.e. Denver game), rather than play game manager.
LOL, they just beat a junior high school defense. Get back to me when smith beats a legit defense....plus, he can't beat anyone from behind...except his boyfriend...amiright?!
And the first time he faced adversity/deficit this year (Minnesota), he became the Alex Smith we all know and love
Bottom line, Smith is still not good enough for the playoffs...rest of the team? better than anyone else in the league. Quarterback? still in the mid teens...
I agree. Schaub is easily better than Smith. And they have better skilled players as well.
Schaub is better than Smith, no question, but I think skill players are a wash. Niners also have the better D
I think the Texans have the edge at the skilled players. Niners have the edge on D, but Texans have a very good defense as well. Very underrated secondary.

Has the guy not been playing better than ever for awhile now? what's the great Aaron Rodgers doing? The great Drew Brees..1-4. The guy is doing just fine.
