That sucks. He is such a warrior.. That foot has been beat up for about 2 months and he has just played through it..
off, the Tigers as a team didn't blow it. It was Valverde and only Valverde. Delmon, AJax, and the entire bullpen minus #46 (even ing Phil Coke) played their asses off.

What's wrong with saying that the Tigers got lucky in game 1? Just think about it for a minute. They were playing the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. It's October baseball and the Tigers were up 4-0 and the wheels came off in the bottom of the 9th and the score was tied 4-4 going into extra innings. The Yankees usually win games like that. That's all I was saying. I was shocked that the Tigers recovered and still won game 1.
I am in VA and I saw fans saying this last night alot for the Nats.. I would have to say to you I agree 100% on end here, like in the NBA get a stop or one more stop when your team doesn't play D lol, you know it's bound to fail you and the other team will just blow through it .
Me too, I agree with you 100, I said when it went to extras they will lose it now and blew it. They came through and won it, THANK GOD but they did it.

Phil Coke is our new closer. Matches up best against the Yanks now that Jeter is done. Cabrera shows up for the first time this postseason, Fielder needs a bomb and pitching is ridiculously good.

Yankees is the team that needs game 3 badly.
Because the Tigers have a chance to put the Yankees away if they win game 3. Okay, the series wouldn't be over but you know the odds. Only one team has come back from 0-3 in a best of 7 in baseball.
Totally different scenario in that series.
The Yankees as they are right now couldn't come back from down 1 game let alone 3. lol
The series was over the minute Jeter's ankle went "snap".

Hopefully Verlander doesn't have to pitch the full game. Coke, Al or Dotel wouldn't hurt as much as Papa.
Either way, after this if the Yankees somehow pull off a miracle and force Game 7 they'll face a rested Verlander again.

I'm thinking Yankee fan wants to find and firebomb Delmon Young's house at this point. He holds the Tiger all time post season HR record in only 2 post seasons at 7, and I think 5 of them are against the NYY.
