Fact checking "Bush didn't try to turn Medicare into a voucher"
Yes he did...
He didn't realize Obama used the word Terror to describe the Bengazi attack the day after...all this quivaling by Repubs is a bunch of Tea party horse ...because it was a youtube video that exacerbated a Terror attack..simple enough
Fact checking "Bush didn't try to turn Medicare into a voucher"
Yes he did...
I was starting to get a little worried about him
Pretty much says it all

that's not a fact check..show me a legit quote from GW and then we can call it fact check....We can't trust your word as a source
^Obama is as cool as the other side of the pillow. just doesnt get fazed under pressure, he has that clutch gene.![]()
you have to be ing kidding me, cracker
How do you call Libya a terrorist attack on the 12th and then for the next two weeks cite a youtube video as the cause? How do you send Susan Rice out after the 12th with a message citing the youtube video on all of the talk shows as the cause for the attacks? If the clear and strong message from the POTUS is a terrorist attack on the 12th how in the world can Susan Rice cite a youtube video? If the debacle in Libya isn't playing politics what is it? Why was their any mention of a random youtube video if Obama was convinced it was a terrorist attack on the 12th? Most Americans can accept tragedy, the response from our governement was a fail no matter how you look at it. Either we have a cover up or a lack of response when additional security was requested and justified by two other attacks on the same Consulate within the last 6 months.
^ problem with our country.
The problem with our country is people who don't know what paragraphs are? I agree.![]()
While I agree this was a up on the administration, I'm going to sustain what I said before: the details don't change a thing. I'm not even going to pin Romney for spinning it politically. This is election season right now, everything is spin spin spin.
The only thing I would personally like is to make sure measures are taken so it doesn't happen again.
I might be wrong but I think your military. In your posts regardless of the content I respected that from you. I actually give you more credibility on this site because you have served. A little disappointed you can't read 6 lines and contribute an opinion or answer.
Nono~~ If this was a surprise terrorist attack with no warning and the president comes out and either says it was a terrorist attack or he isn't quite sure what it was it isn't a political issue. What we know now is that there were requests for additional security and attacks on the same consulate that weren't heeded. We also know and it was confirmed tonight that the POTUS mentioned terror but then continuously referenced this video after. It leads down one of two roads--- A cover up probably because it is election time or a complete communication up between intelligence and our POTUS.
I don't get the "coverup" angle. Coverup to me means they tried to hide the act. That wasn't even remotely the case. Everybody knew straight up the attack happened and people died. What triggered the attack is completely inconsequential, IMO, and I would go further and say it's smoke and mirrors. The attack itself is clearly a up, and they should assume the responsibility and work towards it not happening again. Let's be real here, when we're bombing civilians in other ups (which happen, they're just not americans dying) we sweep it under 'collateral' and nobody blinks an eye.
I've never understood what the point of making pretend was in the first place. Were they so afraid that someone would call them out for supporting Al Qaeda in Libya that they tried to make up some stupid story to hide it? They had to have known the media would never do that. This has been in the news FAR longer than it otherwise would have been
Administration can't hide the act, Americans died. The cover up is in the cause of the act. Painting the picture of some putting up a highly inflammatory video is a far less indictment then we received requests for additional security and no one listened. What started as a up has evolved into a cover up (I don't know what else you call it). If the POTUS was clear this was a terrorist attack on the 12th (that's what we heard tonight) then why is the video mentioned after the 12th?
I agree completely that it was a up of this administration, they should own up to it, and those responsible should face the consequences. The problem I see is that we're missing the forest for the tree. There's this non-stop banter over if it was a youtube video, or a planned attack, or if the other compound was CIA or not, that IMO, at this point, with people already dead, it's just a talking point machine. Even though I don't believe a word she says, I liked that Hilary came out today and accepted her responsibility. And hopefully with that she'll realize (at least from a political standpoint, which is seemingly all she cares about) that there's no more room for ups like that.
All that said, this is election season, and I sincerely hope you don't expect Barry to come out and say "yeah, we really screwed up in Lybia", because it isn't happening. Just like Mitt isn't to come out and say "yeah, I really meant that 47% comment"...
Sorry if I come across as completely disgusted with this -sandwich election that's coming up, but I am. The real issue here is that the system is broken, and we're getting the president we deserve because we allow the system to be broken.
i understand your anger, i feel the same way, especially in regards to the Fast and Furious cover ups. F&F feels more like a true coverup, whereas this Libya attack feels like a up that has been spun quickly to avoid the storm it should've caused. Covering something up or spinning it, it's still messed up. I feel more disgusted at the media, especially that fat throwing in a flag for Obama when Romney was starting to push him on it.
curious EL Nono, how do you think the media would've handled the Libya attack or F&F if they happened on Bush's watch, right before the election?
Well, don't know, tbh. While the media was tough on Bush on certain items, I also thought they were pretty light on Bush's illegal NSA wiretap program and the TARP in general. Personally, I try to avoid american media (especially TV), so I might not be the best point of reference on that.
They should own up to it but the President hasn't. Clinton accepted fault today saying the buck stops with her. Obama clarified saying the buck stops with him at the debate tonight. I still haven't heard a statement from Obama saying we screwed up. I've heard him defending his actions when he called it a terrorist attack but that is proven to be bull when you look at all the statements after. The forest over the trees is what this incident clarifies. None of the problems facing our economy or country are the result of the actions of this president. It was Bush's fault, a youtube video, republican obstructionism~~~ listening to this man tonight, you would think the country is stronger than ever. The simple question each voter needs to ask is do things for me feel as good as the president describes?
I have no expectations on the second part of your post and I agree that it is justified to feel like what difference will it make. I also feel very strongly that people need to open their eyes and ask questions. Do their own research and draw their own conclusions and not feel like they have to fight so damn hard for a politician that could give a about them.
Barry is full of . No disagreement there.
I agree about those points, there were certain things they should've come down much harder on Bush for. I think part of the support for TARP from the media is these assholes are owned by powerful corporations and banks that needed that money, so good luck on getting a comprehensive analysis. But i still remember how 60 Minutes, one of the most venerable of news programs, falsified do ents to make Bush look worse than he already was, so I personally feel they would have brought up Libya and F&F much more if under Bush, but there's no way of proving that, just my gut instinct.
I think what you're getting angry about is the same thing i about, is that the media simply sucks ass. I don't even blame Obama or Romney for being lying snakes, that's politicians for you. The media, however, do such a piss poor job of informing people, it's no wonder we're doomed.
