    I have heard the the new name for the team has been chosen. It's just a matter of find out what it is exactly.
    probably horse because thats a terrible idea for a name but damn could you imagine...the New Orleans Pelicans? of all the badass wildlife out there i hope they don't settle on a got damn pelican

    I guess it has to do with the people in Charlotte wanting their name back as well as Hornets not being a suitable name for a team in NO. Louisiana Gators sounds a lot less gay imo

    Pelicans is a perfect name. It's a semi-black/brown awkward bird with big mouth that does nothing but and eat, and where you see one you see 10. It's got a deep throat and a large piece of meat can easily slide down. It's comfortable sitting on a dock as long as someone is feeding it. It does absolutely no work.
