When your crunch time lineup involves Mills/Neal/Brown/Powell/Blair (i.e. end of the bench guys and camp invitees)...

Trade Neal and Bonner. Neither play defense. But are expendable.

    Brown takes Bonners spot.

    Mills takes Neals spot.

Yeah but he was staying with small guards, something he hasn't been able to do so far, seriously those final minutes he was a completely different player. I didn't even care about the jumpers going in, he at least took them when he was open; wasn't timid. His feet weren't stuck in molasses. Anything on offense you get from Brown should be a bonus as long as his defense is good; but he was subpar in that department as well.

Might not mean anything but could Brown somehow showcasing his skill sets in practice but "hiding" them in games?

    wouldn't trade Splitter for Varejao
Neither would timvp or Bruno, among others . . . but you're too much of a brown noser to call them out.

Funny you should bring this up though, because it's crossed my mind recently. Once this team inevitably shows that they're incapable of marked improvement defensively and of playing with increased toughness and after the front office tries and fails to acquire Smith, I think they'll turn their attention to Varejao.

I still wouldn't do it at the moment, because I want to see if Varejao can actually stay healthy for an extended period (I realize Splitter isn't known for his durability either, but he also hasn't had season ending injuries relatively early in consecutive seasons) and if Splitter takes another step forward, but closer to the deadline, I'd give strong consideration to this.

Bonner should be traded to Charlotte for a second round pick, tbh.

Neal can be traded he is a SG and we have tons of them.

Blair and Bonner the BB boys can be traded someone needs people with some name recognition.

Splitter I like him and I even bought his jersey but he is always hurt and I think him and Pop are going to get a divorce.

SJ I like but if you can move for someone better then go for it.

Via Pop, why I wouldn't read into Spurs' exhibition results: "We've got a lot of (vet) guys who just want to get through the preseason."

The only way the defense is going to improve is if Pop starts holding players accountable defensively. He's got do it with the stars and everyone else. Gary Neal or no one else should expect to get minutes if they are not playing well defensively. That's the only way the defense will improve.

It's the preseason, not Game 7 of a playoff series.

Well when Bonner entered the game I was a bit worried he was going to play 20+ min but he ended up only playing 5:06 (lowest for anyone on roster who played tonight).
