I'm not posting this to complain that the Spurs are continually bashed by ESPN. I thought this one was particularly funny. (Spurs are mentioned at the bottom of article)
So excited for this season! Go Spurs Go!![]()

Whats funny is that Adande complains of "homerism" in the article when he basically sucks kobe's balls in every article.
adande trying to write like simmons
"Looking forward to: The Spurs finally fading from the scene. After all, Tony Parker has finally joined Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili in the 30-year-old club -- and Parker spent the summer picking glass out of his eye from catching a stray bottle in a nightclub. Not looking forward to: The Spurs proving every doubt about them wrong. They always do."
Lame.
I thought it was quite funny actually.
This is slightly off topic, but ESPN's "Rumor Central" (Insider access @ $2.50/month required) never ceases to amaze me.
le: Manu expects to come off bench
Teaser comment: He's fine with that role.
Subscribe to Insider for as low as $2.50/month to access the complete rumor
Oh boy with insight like that who wouldn't want to pony up the $$$ to learn more?
Who would want to pay cash for something really obvious within the Spurs fanbase?![]()
I assure you, there's absolutely nothing funny about J.A. Adande, whose condescending manner is indicative of each and every Laker fan.
It would be fantastic if this guy were banned from all media outlets for life, because he has no intention of ever writing anything objective. His fingertips are purple, and his keyboard is gold. And his goggles can see nothing but K. Bryant.
All of this adds up to...anything this guy says is a waste of my time.
I don't get how this is funny at all.
The dude, who is paid to be objective, is basically admitting he doesn't like the Spurs at all and wants them to stink. He also made fun of Parker's eye injury. I'm guessing he wouldn't say "Kobe spent the summer picking glass out of his eye" if that happened to him. What a bag.
I figured a whole conference of good teams would be the best possible thing. Apparently not.
I meant funny as in "wow this guy is an idiot" kind of funny. I laughed at him not with him.
I purchased a sub to ESPN magazine for $5/year and it comes with insider
