Feel terrible for the kid. Hope it doesn't end his career.
Lattimore may be done after that injury. Looked super nasty

Woohoo! Win totally took me by surprise. Do not care how sloppy it was, Jarvis Jones is the f-ing man
After watching this Lattimore injury again, it looks like he is still lucky to have that leg. It really looks like the skin is keeping it together.
"broke his femur and patella and tore four ligaments in his right knee -- his ACL, MCL, PCL and LCL"
My McGahee comparison was way off. Wish him the best of luck.
Forget his career, I hope he can walk again.
Who do you want to hire?
eh, I've already addressed it before. I have zero faith in the Auburn administration to make a good hire. Honestly, I'm trying to think as little about AU football as I possibly can. Just ready for the nightmare to be over
Oh, and you Ags would be interested to read this. Similar to what I heard from friends after the game http://trackemtigers.com/?p=1689
A few people I know went and said they could definitely see the parallels people talk about between Auburn and A&M. Talked about how generous and courteous your fans were and most have said the trip was much better than Oxford. I definitely want to go there next time we play.
My roommate went and he said that every fan he talked to had to talk about Alabama even though he never brought them up![]()
Said yall hate them more than we have ever hated Texas, not that I didn't know that already. Biggest rivalry in America IMO
Also saw a picture of Toomer's Corner... sad stuff.
Big win for Georgia. Murray was awful, but the defense stepped thru. They're heavy favorites the rest of the way.
Yeah, the Uggas should get some run for doing what they did to UF. Bulldog defense finally played up to its talent level, although I think to some degree the Gator offense finally got exposed. Driskell appears to be incapable of winning a football game on his own or even leading them back with his arm. Call it "Alex Smith" syndrome. Dude has to rely on his defense to win games and then simply hand it off and not throw picks
Well, the rumors are Petrino, Malzahn, or Jimbo Fisher. Another rumor is that Chizz rag was told he wouldn't be coming back after the Vandy game. Would explain the apathetic performance against Aggy
Last rumor is that Jacobs, the Auburn AD, may also be gone after the season.
Malzahn or Fisher? Really? I could see Petrino, but you get what you ask for with that guy.
I hope the football program isn't set back 5 years by what they are doing over there.
Fishers wife went to Auburn and he was also a finalist in 08. He has some association with auburn boosters as well. He's also one of the best recruiters in the country. More rumors, but apparently a lot of fsu people are unhappy with him, including the administration. Makes sense, except i don't think he's very good coach.I like Malzahn better. Petrino can flat out coach and has run clean programs, despite the character flaws which i don't give a about.
Still wish they would chase some bigger names
In terms of talent, i don't see how AU could be set back that many years unless they hire a nobody who can't recruit
I think Malzahn would be a soft hire. Great offensive mind, but not experienced as a head coach.
Petrino would succeed, but comes with some baggage. Alot of people would be turned off by him in the community. Still, he would win. Probably bail for some reason.
Jimbo can recruit, was a coordinator for a long time in the SEC. Not a bad option either, especially if FSU ends up winning out and going to the BCS. That would increase his stock. No one else impresses me in the ACC outside of Beamer.
Pac-12 doesn't impress me outside of Kelly who would only leave Oregon for the NFL or an elite place like a Texas.
I guess continue to suck while Bammer in constantly in the national spotlight, but I don't see the boosters putting up with that . They need an instant impact hire and someone who can go head to head with Saban in that state. What about a Gundy or Charlie Strong?
PS if Auburn is to get another SEC win, can it be against Bama and UGA? Thanks![]()
Not sure what you mean here. Auburn is the pinnacle of suck, nowhere to go but up, imho. The question is how high? Or will it be one of those dreaded runs of mediocrity? Alabama Football is the unquestioned gold standard of college athletics right now which makes it amazing that Auburn has held its own in recruiting for the last 3 years. There is a ton of talent and another amazing class coming in (if it can be salvaged). No reason they can't win 8 or more games next year with the right guidance from a new HC
There are also new rumors out there that AU is under investigation again, so that may factor in if true.
It's a nightmare![]()

I disagree about Malzahn. He left and you see what the result is. He should, frankly, be credited with coaching the team while on the plains. Cheezit has apparently been nothing but a figurehead administrator since he's been here. Also, Arky St is 5-3 with 2 of those losses against big time FBS teams. His team dropped 30 on Oregon, more than anybody else has scored on them all year. Plus, dude is cerebral and always evolving while being an incredibly strong recruiter
But, as I've said repeatedly, I just don't expect this Auburn administration to make a smart hire unless they prove they're serious by firing the AD.
Strong is a legit possibility but I doubt Gundy would leave, especially considering T Boone would make sure he gets paid.
