How do you figure that this is only about the new trilogy? Please explain.
We're not talking about the original trilogy, stain, we're talking about lame ass -tier Disney taking over a franchise that should've stopped in 1999
And how could Frodo say hi? He sailed west, to the Grey Havens
How do you figure that this is only about the new trilogy? Please explain.
Honest, if this isn't about the original trilogy, what is it about? The thread is about a new one coming out in 2015 and you're stupid ing ass said no one over the age of 10 should be excited, so explain yourself you ing got.
he should have sold it to universal, then he could make them fire dykstra.
People should stop thinking of Disney and automatically thinking of the stupid channel and kid shows they have.
When it comes to making adult and serious movies, they are decent at it.
No one over the age of 10 should be excited because only children are dumb enough to be unconditionally stoked about an action/sci-fi movie. Everyone over the age of 10 should be smart enough to see this for what it is, a lame cash grab. Was it that hard to understand?
like what?
789 should be new trilogy or taking the current characters to somewhere or fightin a new enemy...
Like say Pirates of the Caribbean, Chronicles of Narnia, Remember the ans.
They are also going to be involved in the makings of Iron Man 3 I found out.
if finally parting ways with his empire means George is returning to THX1138/American Graffiti filmmaking, then i'll be happier than Deadly Dynasty at an Erasure concert.
George Lucas NOT directing is huge; Empire Strikes Back was the best one (directed by Irvin Kirshner).
They should get Joss Whedon to direct and Nathan Fillion to play Han Solo (unless they go with the 'a few decades later' story line tossed about). Mal in Serenity was basically the shoots-first version of Han Solo.
Josh Whedon is obssesed with slow motion scenes.
Nobody wants to see 2 hours worth of slow motion scenes. lol
I love Whedon (Own both Buffy and Angel on DVD) but damn.
Maybe they'll do an old republic trilogy
Serenity was good though; Disney just puts a clause in his contract that says 'no slow motion scenes.'
And if not him, whom would you prefer? Chris Nolan maybe - but keep Nathan Fillion as Han Solo.
Now that would be ing awesome.
Yes, @CubanSucks I'm excited at the thought of a Star Wars film being about The Old Republic.
The Sith era is probably the best stories they've told yet. (Through comics)
Nolan is probably worned out with finishing batman and all.
Dont really care who makes it as long as its not Tim ing Burton. lol
I have a bad feeling about this.
(someone had to say it.)
Thor and Captain America sucked, those were Disney films after they made the deal with Marvel
It can't possibly get any worse than the prequel trilogy... might as well make a seventh film. Nothing to lose at this point.
... but please no Whedon or Nolan. Haven't you all had enough of them?
Is Tim Allen going to be in it?
Maybe, but maybe not. Doesn't matter. It will make money. Too many people love Star wars not to see it.
I disagree. Disney has some pretty awesome stuff at times.
Why episode 7? We have no details on story or le, but calling it episode 7 implies that it will follow chronologically after ROTJ and be part of the same storyline. The movies started and ended with An ikan/Darth Vader. That's done. Drop the episode #s and just make an original movie.
All ing kids movies in disguise.
The marvel movies under Disney have been pretty sweet. Way better than the marvel movies not under Disney (fantastic four, daredevil). I think there's a good chance these could be good, definitely better than the prequels.
Marvel started doing their own movies and made Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. So really they're like Pixar in that they were doing just great even before Disney showed up
LOL no.
