He the bed about as bad as you could hope for today and they almost won. He didn't have a great series vs the Spurs last year and they still won. The issue is, OKC can play poorly (like today) and it is still incredibly tough for the Spurs to beat them. Maybe a healthy Gino makes that a much different story, but I am not sure.
That was with Harden lightning the Spurs up tbh. They don't have Harden anymore. Harden was killing us all series.

OKC can't beat us if we're healthy, even with ref assistance. We were on a b2b and no Mr. Glass. Still won because Westbrook always gets killed by Parker.

A+ for Pop tonight. He had it all going. Bonner with only 8 minutes. Taking Splitter out (sorry it wasn't his night). Timely subs utions and well drawn up plays. And acted like a stiff during the interview, classic Pop.

Holy , dumb thought it was a regular cross play and it was a cross back play.

He's literally 50 feet away from his man on this play. No one's even within 15 feet of him.

Tbh, the Spurs played pretty bad tonight. Yeah, Duncan had a good game but he disappeared in the second half. Leonard was missing open shots, we were 5-19 from 3's, and it looked like Blair was trying to give the game away out there.

Big thanks to Sam Presti for trading away their best clutchtime playmaker when they had the West locked up for the next 3-4 years.

All the doubters need to be ashamed of themselves. I was worried but I didn't write-off the team.

YEAH TP9!!!! Disappointed in Kawhi though.
How are you possibly disappointed in Kawhi's effort tonight? If your talking about his shot not falling, then you're missing the big picture of his stellar play the past two nights.

I still need to re-watch to see what the Spurs were doing to be so successful on defense. I have not been able to pin point anything yet in the last 6 quarters that led to the improvement. Obviously Kawhi getting 5 steals a game helps and Tim is playing well, but overall, I haven't studied it enough to see what big differences there are this year so far compared to last season.

Well, when you play very hard defensively all night, your offense may suffer a little, especially on a back to back game. Kawhi had to keep up with KD most of the night...and he still got 5 steals.

When OKC shoots 29-77, you're doing something right.

That is the one thing I have noticed so far - those infamous Spurs lulls have not been there. Used to be 3rd quarters were just always awful. Difference now is that even if they miss shots, the infusion of youth has really kept the energy level high throughout.

Limited minutes for blair/bonner, small ball w Jax/Kawhi, and not having to play against a legit post player IMO

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer. I liked this Spurs win. Just responding to the OP who mentioned that the Thunder played very badly and we barely won.

okc started off very hot from mid range
like 4-4 and collison was knocking everything down
once they cooled down it became easy
they didnt really put the thunder on the line much either like they normally get there

Yep, that's a very good point. Of course the Spurs didn't get to the line much either but that made a difference, as did the Spurs' 27 assists on offense.
