Horrys should be reserved for playoff shots, only.

Regular season game winners should have a ceiling of 3 Horrys, while Playoff game winners should have 3 Horrys as their floor IMO.

Regular season game against the first game of the season for a disjointed OKC after they trade their 2nd/3rd best player and best playmaker. Plus the game was tied instead of the Spurs being down, reducing the pressure on parker. Can't give it more than 2 Horrys. In fact if it hadn't been for the fact it was OKC, the 2 might be high.

On a scale of one to five, Parker has a ceiling of one and a half Horry's.

Manu has a floor of six.

All I'll say about Parker is that he was ridiculously clutch at the end of that game. That wasn't the only big shot he hit.

He is much better in the clutch in the past 4 years. I have to wonder if being 'the Man' in the French team has built up this confidence over the past few years. Mentally tough is a good attribute to add to his arsenal.

If the Horry Scale is used to rate game winners.... Should we use the Bonner scale when someone chokes in the playoffs?
Danny Green should be "awarded" 6 Bonners for last years performance in the WCF.

I have no problem with Parker trying to imitate Horry as long as he shows up when it counts.

If regular season game winners have a ceiling of 3 Horrys, I'd say Roger Mason's 3 to beat the Suns on Christmas Day was a 3. That would make Tony's shot a 1-1.5, somewhere in that range.

Parker's pretty much always been clutch. He's more likely to hit a late-game shot when he's cold than he is to miss one when he's hot.

nice call. how would you rate that "old fashioned" 3 pt play he had against the lakers that same season? the fact that it was against derek fisher and that he not only had to hit the 2, but walk to the line and hit the ft should strengthen the rating imho.
however, if i'm remembering that game incorrectly, i apologize in advance

Agreed with what everyone has said - regular season game winner is nothing to playoff game winners - max of 3, 2.5 - 3 for TP

Can we stop commenting on how "parker developed a jumpshot not too long ago"? He's had that for years now, it's harder to remember a time when you didn't expect him to sink that

Just like game 1 against the Grizzlies in '11 when he missed that crucial jumper.

Personally, I liked the Suns shot more (it was at the buzzer and we were down by 2); the shot against the Lakers was also great though (maybe a 2.9 if the Suns shot was a 3).

    This is absolutely false.

I suppose lack of offense is to blame in a game where the Spurs gave up 31 points in the fourth quarter to blow a lead. I wouldn't consider 4-20 shooting to be "hot".
