I read the question to ask not merely which player would be best, but averaging which two players (so that they are one player and no longer two) would best help the team.

    Splitter and Jack for sure.

You mean take the best qualities of two players and put them into one? Easy. Tim + Cory Joseph. CJ's age and health, and Tim's everything else.
Good call. Taking age out of the equation, the 2 biggest upgrades would be to our bigs: give Splitter some balls and at ude by merging hin with SJax; or turn Diaw into a shooter by merging him with Neal.

Giving Diaw Neal's desire to shoot would be over kill.

I think Blaitter is the bet, Blair's health inside presences and strength, with Splitter's height and mobility. I'd want Tiago's pick and roll, and it would then have two inside moves and stregnth to finish and not have to finish underneath the rim. If it would just relearn Blair's rebounding it would be pretty awesome.

I would give Jackson's mindset to Boris. Boris would be a triple-double machine.

Since age, health and physical attributes are not transferable qualities, I'd have to go with giving Bonner Jack's toughness, at ude, and willingness to take the tough shots. Granted Bonner is not a remarkable physical specimen but toughness goes a long way in this league. And transfer Bonner's deadly regular season three point shot into the post season and we're talking open shots for everyone.

The question clearly is hypothetical....so with that I'm assuming we can have say an at peak condition version of each player....and if that's the case, how could anyone not choose Manu's heart, compe iveness and ability to pass and juke-jive his way to the hole combined with Duncan's size, length, intelligence and athleticism at his prime? Duncan was unstoppable at his prime, Manu is still unguardable despite his age and athleticism compared to his compe ion.

The problem with that is you'd turn 2 elite players into just one with bad knees who's made of glass. but yeah, Duncobili woud tear the league apart while he lasted.

Bonner's size and three point shooting with Blair's rebounding ability, mobility and hair color.

Neal shooting and Tim if you want a super Dirk
Neal release is quicker than Bonner's and he is just as good on 3pt range

No one goes with Tony + Neal? One of the quickest players in the NBA, with great slashing ability and good passing. Then you add Neal´s 3 point skills and clutchness? Parker would be unguardable and probably score around 25 per game...If not more. A lethal combo IMO.

I think it's cool how many people recognize Neal's clutchness and 3 ability in this thread. Neal/Parker would be a super fast lightning quick shot with penetrating ability and a solid ball handler and passer. $$$$$

Jack + Tiago = the tough mofo center we have desired for years.

Merge Manu with anyone and he is instantly better! Manu + Neal = super baller.

If you could give the sheer desire for victory, the toughness, and the clutch performance that Jackson possesses and blended it with either Splitter or Diaw that would be a truly formidable opponent.
