Drew Brees mentioned that his Saints had the best stable of backs in the league. At first I thought...sure but ya know he is right. That gang of...

    Mark Ingram....banger
    Chris Ivory..banger

with more speed than the average banger.

Pierre Thomas an all around back
Darren Sproles the speed/receiver/out in space guy.

I can't think of a better group, anyone?

Speaking of a gang of backs...

This team had three backs all there at the same time, who all ended up in the Hall of Fame. What team?

    The classic threesome...

    Larry Czonka brusier
    Mercury Morris fast.quick.elusive
Jim Kiick could do it all

It's gotta be either the Cowboys, Raiders or Seahawks. Definitely isn't the Miami Dolphins.

You don't have the range of diversity there or the depth.

There isn't anything special about those backs besides Sproles and he's getting closer to 30 every day.

Wtf have ivory or Ingram done in their careers to warrant any kind of praise??

I truly don't understand this thread.

Ivory and Ingram are both mediocre (at best) power runners with no speed or elusiveness at all. I don't see how having them both is any range of diversity when them together is redundant.

I disagree, keep in mind we are talking them as a group. Ingram and Ivory break tackles, punish tacklers. Run hard. Thomas has some quicks, can do it all to some degree. Sproles your classic "out in space" back, will make you miss. I think it's a great mix of talent.

How long will it take for Avante to mention Ingram's heisman trophy as if it's at all relevant to this conversation? I say we're less than 10 posts away from it.

Couldn't be more wrong if you tried, it's as if you've never see them play. You have seen them play, right?

I'm not saying they are Alstott, Turner type power runners, I'm saying they run with power and some speed and elusiveness. I think you need to see more of them you don't seem to really know much about them.

No, you're talking about diverse potential talent. Ingram has sucked so far in his career

Ingram has been a disappointment, but he played well the last game. Ivory is much better than him and is very productive in general, but he fumbles and gets injured a bit. He breaks tackles and is pretty fast.

Thomas is my favorite Saint by far. Pretty much does it all. Wish he would get more carries, but the team wants to save him. His injury in the Niners game was a big blow to the offense. Made the team one dimensional most of the game.

I wish the team would utilize these guys all the time instead of being pass happy. These backs are better than the WRs and the o-line is better at run blocking than pass blocking. Plus, it would keep the sorry defense off the field.
